surely when the rain stops pouring
and the sun stops hiding,
i'll be fine once more.
surely, some day soon,
i'll learn how to smile once more.
i'll learn how to thank the universe
for the scars
and time for the memories.
surely, i will be happy one day.
surely today is the day that
i am ready to smile,
to laugh and dare
to love myself.
i can feel it,
more than ever before,
the chains are breaking and i'm finding my way.
surely today is the day that
i finally meet me.
