Certain instances, though unpleasant, remain with us forever.

My Unnao visit was one such occurrence.

In a situation, where I was running for 'life', I came across three amazing people who helped me pass the village safely with Rohini. It was a plus in the entire negative that had happened in these last few days.

It had been an exciting journey, and now as I looked around the familiar lanes of Delhi, I reminisced about my time in Kanpur.

After the tag game was over, it was all I could I do to keep myself upright and see the scene that unfolded in front of me.

Police were able to catch Karma despite his threats along with all the men that had accompanied him. He made the matters worse by aiming the gun at those Khaki clad men. It was an added offense and I shook my head at his stupidity.

In the four years Amit had taught in the village's school, he'd been collecting all the needed evidence against Karma. He had taken signatures and thumb prints from the people he'd saved. He even had a tape with voice recordings of all the witnesses who had helped him in his mission four years ago. As revealed by him later, they had been hidden in his locker at school as it was the safest place. He'd bought them along with him, in case he'd the chance to present them to the right people.

As shocking as it was, Jagan's confession of watching Karma kill Amit's father along with the other two men was also recorded in that tape; they were all handed over to the police. Sam had his side of evidences too, and it was now proven that Karma was behind murders of several innocent people. Rohini's case was the most effective as he was caught red-handed in chasing after her.

After that, Aamir had carried me to the hospital while Amit and Sam had stayed for other formalities.

I was kept for twelve hours in the hospital for observation. The bullet had remained in my flesh for longer than the normal time, and doctors had to check for any sort of infection.

After I was discharged with a clean chit, my statement, along with Rohini's was taken. We were even asked to be present in the court hearing that was to happen sometime in the future.

After that, we'd left for Delhi with Aamir and Amit accompanying us.

Sam was missing as he'd stayed back. His company with us was only until Kanpur. We'd parted ways on a good note. He'd taken a promise from me to gift him a German shepherd. Since I had gotten out of Unnao safely, I'd agreed to gift him one happily.

With Sam demanding a German shepherd from me, Aamir, the ass as he was, had demanded a pug. Even though he was annoying, and got on my nerves often, he'd come to become a great friend, and I begrudgingly agreed.

As surreal as it all looked, it was time to see the familiar place, be at my job, see my parents, and most importantly, start the life a new way with Rohini.

The importance of Love could be this drastic, I'd no idea. This village visit had made me realize the importance of people around me. Where, at one time, I would engage in many arguments with Rohini unnecessarily, and was an immature jock; I now looked at everything from a different- from a more mature perspective.

The feeling of accomplishment after a lot of hardships tasted the best. I was relishing in the feel of it, taking in the scene of highways and flyovers, where cars were running at the speed of a hundred miles per hour.

Even the horns of cars beeping behind us sounded amusing, and not at all annoying. Living in a place where there was literally no noise, no contact with the outside world made me look at every passerby with a smile.
