🤡 author's note: okay since I'm STILL getting comments complaining about this, I'm re-adding this disclaimer lol: Preston and Chloe's storylines have almost the SAME word count; the difference is literally somewhere around 1000-2000 words. Preston has more back to back chapters at the beginning because of the way his story arc develops! They both get story arcs, but they happen at different speeds. It's just the nature of a split-POV story. If you hate Preston/think he's boring/don't want to read his chapters... no one is forcing you to 💀💀💀 i hate to be passive aggressive but like. the preston/emily hate is so tiring 🙃
and yes, MY CHARACTERS HAVE FLAWS. 🧍♀️All Four main characters have an internal struggle they have to work through. That's literally the point of the story.
on a similar note: emily is not trying to be "nOt LiKe OtHeR GiRls" or a "pick me" or whatever other misogynistic terms some of you want to use. if you bully girls/women for being themselves when they're not doing anything malicious/hurtful or are on any kind of high horse... this book is about discouraging bullying, so you are not in the right place LOL
okay, passive aggressiveness over, thanks for clicking on this story and reading if you decide to stick around! I wrote this many years ago (and honestly am a little embarrassed it's my most popular story), but I hope you enjoy it nevertheless. 😅 I was very much a newbie writer when I came up with this plot, and just wanted to do something fun with lots of cliché elements and common wattpad tropes. Parts of it make me cringe, but I still love the main characters and I stand by the lessons they have to learn. Hopefully you do too. 🫂
