~A couple months later~

I sat in the Quinjet staring at my fingers where I played with the darkness, deep in my thoughts. It had only been about four months since Sokovia, since I lost my brother, and it didn't hurt any less. Every night I had dreams of Pietro, some happy, some were nightmares, but all of them were painful.
Wanda sat beside me talking to Steve who was flying the Quinjet. She asked him questions all about the Facility he was taking us to. All the Avengers have been so nice and welcoming to Wanda and I, Steve especially, I feel he had taken us in, in a way.
"So when we arrive I will show you both around, and then you all will suit up." Steve said grasping my attention.
"Suit up?" Wanda asked seeming to read my confusion.
"Yeah, when we took your measurements we made you both suits like for battle, and today you all will put them on and we will train." He said with a small smile on his face.
"Train?" I asked. He turned and smiled.
"You'll see." He said turning back focusing on flying.
We flew for about five more minutes and then we arrived. We were in Upstate New York, at a large modern facility nothing like I had ever seen before. Steve stood up and opened the large doors and gestured is to follow him off the Quinjet. I grabbed my small bag with the only belongings I had. It consisted of a couple of photos, two jackets, a book, and a letter that my parents had left my Pietro, Wanda and I. As we walked off the Quinjet I fiddled with my necklace nervously as I did so often, holding it felt like comfort, like home. It's warm feeling came from the memory of Pietro and I cherished it greatly.
I was suddenly awestruck at the huge buildings in front of us. Men and women everywhere passed by. We walked inside one of the buildings that had a huge A on it probably meaning Avengers. Inside there were only a few people, Thor, Tony, Vision and a couple of agents. Thor and Tony nodded towards us as they talked.
"Follow me and I will you show you to your rooms." Steve said excitedly. A wave of confusion washed over me as he walked us towards our rooms.
"We- we get rooms?" I asked.
"Of course! As official avengers you need a nice place to live right?" He said as we walked into a hug room with many doors and a staircase. "Okay so in here is the training room, there is the locker room, in there is the living area and over here are all the rooms." He said walking up the stairs. The first door he opened revealed a large room with a tv and a large bed. "Wanda this is your room, why don't you get set up and we will meet in the locker room okay?" She nodded a look of shock on her face as she set down her small bag. She smiled at me happily as Steve led me out of the room. Only a couple doors down he entered a large room with a computer, tv and a bed. He smiled as I walked in. "This Elizabeth, is your room!" He said proudly. I looked around in amazement.
"Really?" I asked turning around to look at him.
"Of course. Listen I know you have lost a lot recently, and what you two need right now is a family, you need people to have your backs. And we all want to be that for you. You two are Avengers and well you need a place to live so, here you go." He said. As he spoke my eyes teared up, I felt happiness and gratitude wash over me. I ran and hugged him.
"Thank you." I said letting go. He smiled at me and turned around to leave.
"Once you get settled go to the locker room." He said before leaving, closing the door behind him.
I placed my bag in my bed and opened it first revealing three pictures, one of Wanda and I, the other a family picture, and finally one of Pietro and I smiling together. As I took out he pictures I smiled. When I reached the one of Pietro and I, my eyes teared up. I put the picture to my chest and hugged it. I then placed all the pictures on a desk with a computer. I then pulled out my one book at placed it on a shelf, then I pulled out the letter my parents had left me and set it down in a drawer, and finally my two jackets. One of the jackets was the purple one I had worn to battle the other Pietro's black jacket with white arrows down the sleeves. I hugged it and placed them on a rack. I sat down on my bed immediately surprised by the comfort I had felt from it, never in my life had I laid on such a comfortable bed. After about ten minutes of laying in the bed I made my way to the locker room where Wanda was suited up, she wore a red leather shirt, jacket, and pants. I looked at her in shock seeing the amount of power she put off. She smiled at me and then walked over to me.
"Isn't this exciting! Here let's get you suited up yeah?" She said leading me to a locker with my initials on it. I quickly put on the suit they had made for me.

She smiled at me and stepped closer to me, her eyes tearing up. I looked at her confused as to why she was tearing up, she let out a light laugh.
"It's just, I wish Pietro could see how grown up and strong you are." She said. I looked down not wanting to start crying. Ever since Pietro died things had been hard, every minute I wanted to break down and start crying, every inch in my mind taken up by the memory of him. I wish he could've been here too, I wish he could've experienced this too, but he's gone, and I try to tell myself everyday that he would not want me to constantly think about him, so I try my best.
"Me too." Was all I said before she pulled me into a tight hug.
After a few minutes we made our way down to training room, that had large windows. A few other people were there including Vision. After a few minutes Steve and Natasha walked in talking about us, the new recruits. Once they walked in we turned our attention towards them, everyone in there suits ready for their orders.
"Avengers!" Steve said proudly.
I felt triumphant knowing I was now considered part of the team. Steve and Natasha walked down to us and we all gathered close.
"Today we will train you all, especially our newest members Wanda and Elizabeth, we will train to use and focus your powers. Natasha will also teach you all some spy techniques, so let's begin." Steve said and we all disbanded. I walked with him, Natasha, and Wanda. "Okay, Elizabeth, come with me." Steve said wallowing towards a different room, when we walked in it showed a well built metal room with dummies set up.
"Woah, what is this?" I asked looking around.
"This is where we will start your training. You are very powerful and your powers are very dangerous so Stark created a room that is almost immune to your abilities, it is strong and durable, so you can use your powers and train safely."
"Thank you, so much. But why are you doing this for me, for us?" I asked.
"You and Wanda are Avengers now, so we do all we can to make sure you are comfortable and prepared. Now why don't you gather your darkness and aim towards that dummy over there." He said pointing towards a dummy that was about a hundred yards away. I started to gather the darkness. I watched as all the dark mist moved to my hands, it moved quickly and painlessly, I had gotten stronger, it had gotten easier to use my abilities, so it was not difficult to do as he asked. Once I gathered enough darkness I moved my eyes and mind towards the dummy focusing on it, aiming with my thoughts. I then lifted my arms and pushed the darkness towards it. The dark mist in a matter of milliseconds crushed the dummy to pieces. I turned to Steve who smiled and clapped.
"Nice job, now lets hear your scream." He said. A flash of memories flooded my mind, I saw the buildings fall around me, my brother faking to the ground, the shake of the city as my scream moved through it. I looked down as my painful thoughts raced through my mind. I fiddled with my necklace. After a minute I shook my head trying to rid my mind of the memories. I readied myself, and my mind again focusing on a dummy about a hundred yards away. After a couple seconds I let out a loud scream, it shook the walls around me, as it moved towards the dummies. In a matter of seconds it knocked down all the dummies, Steve had fallen onto the ground and was now holding his head, trying to get my screams out of his head. When I looked at the wall seeing it start to crack I stopped screaming, not wanting to destroy the new building, not wanting to hurt anyone. I quickly ran over it Steve feeing horrible.
"Are you okay? I'm so sorry!" I said helping him up. He gave me a weak smile, and a thumbs up.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Maybe just not scream around people unless you have to." He said with a light laugh. I smiled feeling better. "Now I'm going to send Natasha in so you can practice combat."
