When I got to my house, I almost laughed with relief when I saw Logan sitting on my steps. He was smoking and his face was beyond bored. His expression changed immediately after he saw me. He got up and flicked awayhis cigarette. I hugged him without caring that I might look like I actually cared. What the hell, I thought. I did care. He kissed me, and I just kept stroking his hair.

"How's your dad?" I asked finally, and he grimaced.

"He'll be fine," he said. "Big faker. He didn't have three strokes in a row. He only had one, and it wasn't even a stroke. I don't remember what it was, but it had something to do with him downing two pizzas every night."

I laughed at that.

"That was just an evil scheme to lure you back, huh?" I asked, and he grinned.

"Uh huh. Come on; let's get inside, since you won't have sex in public and all..."

"Oh, do I have a story for you..." I muttered when he pulled me towards the front door.

"You'll tell me all about it in a couple of hours," he said and I snorted.

"A couple of hours? McNamara, you are so overconfident, it's not even funny."

"Ha!" he said seriously and pushed me inside the house as soon as I unlocked the front door.

Exactly two hours and ten minutes later, Logan finally let me go, and I couldn't speak for almost five minutes.

"Jesus..." I finally managed.

He grinned smugly.

"Overconfident?" he said. "I don't think so. What's your story?"

I looked at him and laughed at how serene his eyes were. I told him about Juliana, and he immediately became very curious.

"Oh yeah?" he propped his head on his arm. "Do tell."

"I just did," I rolled my eyes.

"No," he sighed. "Tell in details. Like what it felt like, how her tongue was, and whatnot..."

I smacked him on the head and he laughed.

"Come on! Girl on girl action is quite exciting, you know! Did she try to go down on you?"

"Pig," I sighed. "And no; I pushed her away as soon as her tongue got down my throat."

"Ohhh," he breathed. "So there was a tongue!"

"Shut up!" I laughed, and he grinned and pushed me back on the pillows.

I heard my parents come back around nine that night, and Dante showed up at eleven, as usual. To my greatest surprise, nobody knocked on my door, wondering if I was alive or not. I was wondering why, when Logan said that he left his bag downstairs so everyone probably knew better than pester me tonight.

"I mean, with your car in the driveway, my truck by the curb, and my bag downstairs, I think the picture is quite clear," he said with a shrug, and I agreed with him.

On Monday morning, I was somewhat relieved to see the Freak back at school. I was even more relieved when I saw that she dyed her hair black, and that the clothes she was wearing didn't look like anything I ever owned. Thank God for small favors, I thought when she wouldn't even look at me. I was almost humming something under my breath when Johnny showed up.
