Chapter 10

I groaned as I walked down the hallway like a zombie. People greeted me as I was venturing towards my locker. I didn't have it in me to greet them back, so I just stuck to an awkward nod.

I noticed Danny, my cousin, standing by my locker looking extremely confused. When I reached Danny, I immediately unlocked my locker, and opened it.

"Damn Andy, you look like shit." I rolled my eyes,

"I feel like shit." I stated, pulling out the books I needed. He raised an eyebrow,

"What did you do last night?" I shrugged,

"Went to a party, to celebrate becoming a popular." He looked at me,

"Wow, you're putting fish in vents, egging cars, and going to parties. You're starting to sound like a true badass. This will be great for the plan." I stiffened,

"Yeah yeah, taking down the great Jason Anderson." I said, slamming my locker shut, "The plan." Danny nodded,

"Yes, the plan." I started to walk to my classroom and stopped and turned to Danny,

"I don't know...Jason is just an asshole, I don't think we have to take him down. It wouldn't do anything-"

"Did you really just say that?" Danny asked with a frown on his face, "He's more than just an asshole. He's a bully, and I thought you knew that." He looked at my face for a second before his eyes grew, and his face became pale,

"Oh my gosh, don't tell me..." I looked at him in confusion and he continued,

"You like Jason Anderson." I gasped and immediately started to shake my head no,

"Absolutely not. No. He's an ass, and I'm pretty sure he hates me. Which isn't a problem, because the feeling is mutual." Danny nodded, looking unconvinced.

"Good, because he'll always be an ass." His eyes were looking at something behind me. Confused, I turned around to look, and saw Jason Anderson making out with some girl by some lockers. It looked pretty intense.

I blinked once. Twice. Then turned to Danny who was looking at me expectantly,

"Is that suppose to mean something to me?" Danny opened his mouth to reply but I wasn't done,

"Because it doesn't. I have to go." I said, masking my emotions. He nodded, and I walked away suddenly feeling confused. I definitely don't like Jason Anderson, he's an ass.

Then why did it hurt a little, deep down, when I saw him making out with that girl.

With that thought, I continued walking to my classroom, trying to think less of Jason Anderson and more of the plan. The plan that involved taking down Jason Anderson. I groaned, when I finally entered the classroom. When did life get so complicated?

When you decided to talk back to Jason. My conscious answered my unspoken question. Ugh, it's official. I'm crazy. Now, I'm talking to myself? I need a mental hospital, stat!

"Are you gonna take your seat so I can start class, or are you gonna continue to stare into space, Miss Rush." The teachers voice said, breaking me out of my internal breakdown. I slowly walked to my seat, ignoring the class snickering.

When I reached my seat I rested my head on the desk. I just need to rest, that's all I need.

When the bell rang, I sat up abruptly. I looked around in confusion, where am I? I noticed my fellow classmates, getting up and walking out of the classroom. Oh yeah, class is over. I groaned, and packed up my stuff and yawned.
