I had felt quite hungry after dropping off Lola, so instead of going home I diverted to chompy chicken. I hadn't gone in so long that even the smell had me a little lightheaded with euphoria. I had only just sat down with my food, mouth watering when I got the oomphchat from her to come to pick her up. I wondered why she had had the sudden change of heart.
Deciding to not question it, I hauled ass back to the estate before I'd even got to chomp on any of my chompy chicken. It had kind of been worth it though to see little Lola sitting on the pavement where I had dropped her off, waiting for me to arrive. She looked like a lost toddler.
