Chapter 5

Today's the day of Fun Town and Ryder woke up so excited. During breakfast all he could talk about was going to Fun Town with his two friends Kenny and Ellie and I can't lie I was a little excited too especially after last. Last night I got a text from Opie that said
From Opie: I will pick yall up tomorrow at one. The kids can't wait and if I'm telling the truth I can't wait to spend the day with you either! Goodnight beautiful!
and I felt something I haven't felt in a while, I got butterflies. Around twelve fifteen we got ready, it was hot outside so Ryder dressed in a dark grey muscle shirt that had a black shadow of a guy on a motocross bike then black shorts that goes under his knees and black ankle socks and converse shoes then I was wearing a black shirt with blue jean shorts that stopped two inches under my ass with black sandals, I also put my hair in a cute messy bun and for makeup I went simple with black eyeliner and mascara with chpstick. I also grabbed sixty dollors and my ID and license out of my purse and put it in my phone case. At twelve fifty five there was a knock on the door answering it I find Opie looking all sexy in a black beanie, black shirt, his kutte, blue jeans with his chain and his black boots smiling he says "yall ready" and before I could say anything Ryder runs up yelling "yes" then runs to Opie's truck, laughing Opie says "we better go before they leave us" I laugh and say "just let me get my phone and keys" turning around I walk to the table and grab them. Turn I let out a gasp, Opie is standing right in front of me. Raising his hand to my face he says "you look very beautiful" smiling I say "you look good yourself" we look into each others eyes then he starts to lean in but right before our lips touch we heara horn. Sighing he says "we better go" nodding I walk to the door with Opie following me out. Getting into Opie ford 250 I look in the back to see Kenny in a dark blue muscle shirt, blue jean shorts with dark blue converse shoes and Ellie was in a pink muscle shirt and tan shorts with pink converse shoes, she also had her hair down so I said "babygirl your gonna get hot with your hair down" and she said "my hair was being wild this morning and daddy couldn't fix it" and I said "when we get there I will pick it up for you" and she said "thank you". I made sure Ryder, Kenny and Ellie had their seatbelts on then I turned around to see Opie stealing glances of me he drives. Getting their Opie parks by some bikes and when we get out he truck I turn to Ellie and say "let's get that hair up" and she gets in front of me and I start running my fingers through her hair collecting her hair up as I go putting her hair up in a high ponytail turning around to Opie, Kenny and Ryder I see others with them, some I know and some I don't. Walking up to them Opie says "you remember Gemma, Jax and Tig" nodding my head he says "well this is Gemma's husband Clay, then that is Chibs, Bobby, Juice, Happy, Kozik, Half-Sack and my dad Piney, guys this is Haddy she's Ryder's mom" smiling I say "hello it's nice to meet yall" and they smile or nod back at me. Tig then says "Oh Haddy they have sooooo many clowns lurking around" Jax, Gemma and Opie try to hold their laughs back while the other luagh and I said "laugh all you want but don't say I didn't warn you" and they laugh leaving Clay, Piney, Chibs, Bobby, Juice, Happy, Kozik and Half-Sack confused. Ryder then says "don't worry mom I'll protect you" and Tig says "Ya mom I'm sure Opie would love to protect you too" and wiggled his eye brows up and down causing Jax's to laugh. Clay then says" what's going on" and Gemma said "Haddy's scared of clowns" and Jax says "she says there only nice so you'll let your guard down so they can slit your throat" and everyone laughs, rolling my eyes I said "come on Ryder" I grab his hand and we walk away going into the fair. I walked away because I felt like they were making fun of my fear, making me as a joke and I was a little hurt. I asked Ryder "do you want to ride any rides and he says "yes please" so we walk up to the ticket booth and get in line.
~ Opie's POV ~
Once we stopped laughing I look to my left to see Haddy and Ryder gone, I start looking around only for my dad to say "she told her son to come on and they walked away and I don't blame her. yall just stood there and made fun of her, turning her fear into a joke." and Tig said "we were only playing" and dad says "didn't sound like joking around to me" and with that my dad walked away. Turning to Kenny and Ellie I see they had a sad look on their face because their friend isn't with them anymore so I tell them "let's go find them ya" they nod their heads and we started walking. Walking into the fair I look around to see them at the ticket booth.

I just told the lady I wanted thirty tickets and she said "ten dollars" as I was handing her the money and arm reached around and paid for them, turning to say thank you I see Opie standing. He turns to the lady and say "can I get sixty tickets please" and she says "sure. that's twenty dollars", he hands her the money and she hands him the tickets and he gives Kenny thirty tickets and give Ellie the other thirty. Turning back to me he says "I'm sorry for what happened back there." and I said "I don't like to be made as a joke" and he said "I'm sorry baby. my brothers love to joke around, they were just teasing you not making fun of you and I'm sorry you felt like they were" and I said "I'm sorry I walked away" and he said "no you had every right to react like that. we don't know each other that well yet so we don't know how we joke around" then he said smiling "how about we bring these kids to some rides" and the kids said "yes" laughing Opie puts his hand on my lower back as we walk. We were at Fun Town for two hours now and the kids were having so much fun when Gemma and Clay walked up to us and said "why don't I watch the kids and yall go talk" and Opie looked at me and saw I was a little hesitant and said "Ryder will be safe, nothing will happen to him. I promise" and Clay said "Sweetheart I will protect that boy with my life" and I said "ok" and looked at Ryder and said "be good for Mrs Gemma and Mr Clay" he nodded his head and said "ok mama" and went back to having fun. Opie and I found a place to sit and talk and after a while I asked "where's the kids mom" and he said "after Ellie was born she decided she didn't want to be a mom and left. Kenny was one and Ellie was a month old. Kenny's now seven and Ellie's six and we haven't seen her since. what about Ryder's dad" sighing I look away and say "Ryder's dad was on drugs and abusive so when I found out I was pregnant I knew bringing a baby into that wasn't safe so I left. I had no family so I packed my things while he was at work and came here. That was a little over five years ago" he gently grabbed my face and made me look at him and said "baby, I will never aloud you or that boy to be hurt again. did your ex ever try to reach out to you" and I said "when I first left he would call and text me threating my life but I blocked my number when I got here but I don't have to worry about him anymore because two years ago they found him dead in his house, he od on meth" Opie sighed and said "can't say I get glad to hear that" and I said "even though he's dead I still catch myself nervous at times" and Opie says "you have nothing to be nervous about baby, I'm here for you and that boy. I promise" then he leans in and our lips touch. His soft lips touch mine in the most sweet delicate kiss I've ever recived, pulling away he says "yall have me now. yall ever scared I don't care the time you call, ok" nodding my head I say "ok". After we finish talking we decide to go find Gemma, Clay and the kids. We were walking not even two minutes when a clown jump in front of us causing me to jump back and gasp. Opie got in front of me and told the clown "get lost" the cloen raised his hands up and walked away. Opie turned to me and said "it's ok baby, he's gone" and I nodded and said "thank you" Opie grabs my hand and starts walking again. Getting to Gemma I see Ryder giggling and Jax with his hands on his hips looking at him, walking up I hear Jax say "it's not funny" and Ryder giggled and said "Ya it was" and Gemma, Clay, Kenny and Ellie laugh causing Jax to pick up Ryder and tickle his stomach. Jax spots us and says "he's being mean" and tickled Ryder again. At five pm we all decide to leave and head home. Once we get to my house I invited Opie, Kenny and Ellie in for pizza and a movie which they happily except.
