Chapter Seven: No Promises

It's 19:45 and Chanel has been waiting in the restaurant Mr Martin and she said they'd meet at, but he hasn't shown up yet. Chanel's starting to get annoyed.

After giving an Oscar-winning performance with Angelo, she knew she had them right where she wanted them, in the palm of her hands. She has to play this right, she wants to succeed, even if it means acting like a complete pussy in front of them, Chanel isn't scared of anything, she hates surprises though but seeing Vincent drenched in blood, only confirmed the type of person he is claimed to be, a monster.

"Ma'am, you've been waiting a long time, are you sure you don't want to order anything?" The green-eyed waitress asks again, giving her a fake smile, she wants to punch that fake smile off her face but she can't.

Chanel looks down at her rose gold watch, "I'd like a glass of red wine."

The waitress rolls her eyes and walks away.

"Amore."

Oh Goddammit!

Chanel turns to find Vincent standing behind her, he doesn't look happy.

"What do you want Vincent?" she says fearfully.

Vincent pulls out a chair beside her and sits down, unbuttoning his suit jacket, he looks at her for a while, examining her closely, she's scared of him and he's liking every minute of it.

He raises an eyebrow, "He stood you up."

Chanel sighs and nods, "Men are so pathetic."

"Ah amore, what if he got held up somewhere or he's gotten into some kind of accident, don't be quick to judge."

Chanel bits her lip, she felt bad, "I guess you're right."

"Why don't I keep you company? Until he shows up," he suggests.

Desperate not to look like she's been up forgotten, she agrees, the waiter returns, and Vincent orders a glass of whiskey.

"What happened to you? When you came to the office covered in blood?"

Vincent cringes, why didn't Angelo use the injection on her? Stupid ass.

He leans close to her, "I was at my warehouse."

Chanel's eyes widen, "You kill animals?"

"No people but I wasn't there to do that," he smirks.

Chanel looks at him shocked by his nonchalant behaviour; he is a monster.

"Don't look at me like that, they had it coming," Vincent spits, "They destroyed my warehouse."

Chanel remains quiet, processing the information, the warehouse must be where they keep their illegal contraband, drugs, weapons, and jewels.

"I mean what are we supposed to do now, that was our biggest plant and now everything is gone, and insurance doesn't even cover it," he rants and gulps down his whiskey.

Why is he opening to me? Chanel thinks. Don't question it, embrace it.

But she understood he's frustration, she too would kill the people that destroyed her livelihood.

"I understand and I'm sorry," she finally says.

Vincent looks at her, she's being sincere. That's a first.

"Thank you, amore," he sighs, "I wish I knew what to do."

"Burn them back," she simply states.

Earn his trust and then bust his nuts.
