One year later.

It's been a whole year since Julie and Monica left the FBI, after telling the truth both girls were asked to resign because of a breach of contract, they weren't supposed to sleep with them while on the job but as they said, they just couldn't resist, so they resigned and left the agency.

Monica gave birth to a boy, and she named him Antonio James, the FBI found out about the baby and showed nothing but support for her, they never charged her with anything or expose her, same with Julie, they ultimately let them go, something both women were happy with.

The trial was gruelling, everything piece of evidence they had was working on the prosecution's behalf and it looked like Vincent, and his men were going to spend life in prison for their crimes, that's when something weird happened, the judge was suddenly changed and so did the jury they had the prosecution paid all off.

The day of judgement arrived five months after their arrest and they were charged with fraud and embezzlement of funds, earning time served plus another year and the rest were excused from their crimes. It was a shock to everyone, the public couldn't believe that they had gotten away with it, Julie and Monica knew damn well what was happening, but they kept it to themselves.

---

"Tony is growing so big," Julie laughs as she picks up the baby from his cot

"I know, just yesterday I was begging for him to come out of me,"

Julie laughs, "So Gio and Vince are going to be released soon?"

Monica sighs, "I know, I'm not ready to see him."

"I know you're not, but you don't have much of a choice."

"I wish I did, I don't want his son to grow up knowing that his father is a dangerous man," she admits, "I can't have that."

"You'll figure it out but just give it time, let Gio spend time with him and talk about it," Julie suggests, "It wouldn't hurt to try."

"You're right"

Julie checks her watch, "I have to get going, Monica."

"Thank you for coming to Julie," they share a hug and Julie leaves.

She makes the short drive home, passing by McDonald's to grab a meal for the night, getting back to her old apartment she takes her keys out of her pocket and steps in, she switches on the light and places her food on the table. She goes to her bedroom, changes into her pyjamas, and goes to the lounge, she switches on the TV and the news is on.

"And in other news today, the infamous drug lord, Vincent Giovanni has been released from prison today on good behaviour."

Julie's eyes widened, he was out of prison, and he wasn't set to get out for another two weeks.

She quickly rushes to lock her doors and windows, she knew the first place he would come to be her place and she wanted to make sure that she was safe, she calls Monica and tells her the news, who takes it much better than her, she's excited and can't wait to hear about Gio's release.

Julie goes to bed with a gun under her pillow, but little did she know that he was already in her house, waiting for the perfect moment to make his appearance, he watches her fall asleep, and he makes his move.

"Amore, ho mantenuto la mia promessa," he whispers as he disarms his gun, and sits in the chair in the corner of her room.

"E pagherai per i tuoi peccati."
