Alan's POV

"Ready to go find a surrogate?" I said looking Vic as we pulled up to the clinic. We were finally gonna look for a surrogate today or do whatever we have to do to get one. I knew this was going to be expensive, but we wanted this. We'd always talked about doing this, but we never did it because we went to adoption instead.  I couldn't wait to have a baby.  "Earth to Vee."

"What?" He asked.

"Ready to go in?"

"Hell yeah I am!"

"Then come on," I said getting out of the car.

Vic smiled and got out before he took my hand. "I can't wait for this, Ash. Kid number five."

"Kid number five," I repeated with wide eyes.

"It's going to be so great," he said, squeezing my hand.

I nodded and followed him inside the place. I couldn't believe we were really gonna do this. It was kinda scary to be honest.

"Hi, can I help you both?" The woman at the desk asked us.

"We have an appointment for Fuentes," I told her with a smile, holding Vic's hand tight.

"Alright, someone will be right out."

"Great, thank you," Vic said before the two of us went and sat down.

"So, what did you get me for Christmas?" I asked curiously.

"I'm not telling you," he said, wrapping his arm around my shoulders.

"Why not?"

"Because it's a Christmas presents, you're not allowed to know."

"So? You should still tell me."

"Well what did I get?" He asked.

"My love and affection," I joked.

"I haven't gotten yours yet," Vic said, shrugging.

"What?"

"I haven't gotten your present yet."

"You're kidding, right?"

"Nope," Vic said with a sigh.

"Oh my god, Vee Christmas is in like three days."

"I'm aware," he muttered.

"I already got yours and I hope to god you love it."

"What is it?"

"I'm not telling."

"Then why do you think I would tell you."

"Doesn't matter, you don't even have my gift."

"So?"

"So? That's dumb," I noted just as someone called our names. We stood up and walked with woman back to an office.

"In my defense, you haven't given me any hints like you usually do," he complained.

"I shouldn't have to."

"You do, because I'm an idiot."

"Just do what your heart desires. You don't even have to get me anything. Your company is enough."

"I'm getting you something, Ash, it's going to be amazing too."

"If you insist," I said taking a seat in the chairs across from the woman.

"I'm Gina and I'll be helping you find the perfect surrogate," Gina said giving us a big smile.

I smiled at her, "I'm Alan and this is my husband Vic."
