The lunch bell rang through Jimin's ears. 'FINALLY!'
Everyone else seemed to be thinking the same thing as they leapt out of their seats and fled the room. No one stayed inside, not even the obsessive workaholics. Mr Jong was just that bad.
As everyone scattered far enough from the classroom to avoid Mr Jong when he came out behind them, Jimin looked for his locker.
He hadn't actually used his locker yet, but since Mr Jong had handed out about one million worksheets, he really needed somewhere to put them. Stumbling through the corridors, his pile of sheets teetering like all of Mr Jong's other students did after each lesson, he didn't notice someone else walking down the hallway.
So naturally, when he ran into someone, it was quite a shock. "AAGH!"
He hit the ground hard, his papers falling and scattering everywhere.
"Yah! Watch where you're going, pabo!" a voice exclaimed.
He looked beside him to see a mint-haired student picking himself up off the floor. Looking down in embarrassment, he blushed. "I'm sorry..."
-
From where he was standing, Yoongi was having a hard time not laughing. 'This pabo...'
Jimin was on the floor, both hands supporting him and his cheeks red as he stared at the ground in embarrassment. Warmth flooded Yoongi's body as he bent down to help the embarrassed teen pick up his papers.
He felt Jimin's shocked gaze on him and looked up to meet his eyes, his hands freezing. They stared for a moment. "What?" he said.
The orange-haired student blushed and looked down at the floor again, noticed a worksheet near his hand and picked it up. "U-um... Nothing..."
Yoongi grinned as he turned away to pick up another sheet. "Is that so?" he asked rhetorically, enjoying Jimin's embarrassed squeak, but knowing he couldn't act like he did when he met the orange-haired teen the day before.
-
Jimin's cheeks seemed to be overheating a lot these days. He stared at the mint-haired student who was helping him pick papers out of the corner of his eyes, wondering why he sounded so familiar. His sarcasm, his...
... Hair?
He remembered some of the gossipings he'd heard earlier. 'Is he the new student?'
The mint-head finished amassing Jimin's papers into piles and put his hands out to Jimin. Jimin looked at his hand, and then his face. "What?"
Rolling his eyes, the mint-head grabbed the other papers from Jimin and put it on one of the stacks, shaking his head. "Why do you have so much?" he asked. "Are you taking these to another classroom?"
Jimin shook his head. "Um, no... My teacher gave them to me."
The student stared flatly, his gaze asking if he was actually expected to do all the worksheets and implying dubious insults about whoever would be as stupid as to waste so much paper.
The orange-haired teen answered his gaze, seeing a way he could ask about the mint-head indirectly. "It's Mr Jong. You don't know about him?"
"No." That was the extent of his answer; flat, bored and unresponsive. It lacked the teasing it had earlier. Jimin's eyebrows furrowed. He was very moody. Actually, it was really annoying.
"Alright, then," he said, gathering his other things together. When he finished, he grabbed both the stacks in either hand. "See you, then."
-
Yoongi gazed at the orange-haired teen as he walked away and sighed quietly. He'd been enjoying the teasing but realised acting too much like Zangling and his real self would set off one too many alarms in Park Jimin's head.
His thoughts turned away from Park Jimin and towards himself.
'Being a super is overrated...' he thought bitterly.
