| Chapter 8 | 'You should date a girl, Hoseok-hyung!'

The club room was messy as usual. Things were scattered everywhere. On one wall were six closets with costumes in them that they had used in performances and videos, and on the other side of the room there were props littered everywhere. There was a door on the same wall that led to a green room and a tech booth where they could record their videos and soundtracks if they wanted to.

Jungkook and Taehyung, two of the three youngest members, were sitting in the corner and talking animatedly, and Jin and Namjoon stood at the front of the room conversing with each other. Jin and Namjoon's uni friend, Hoseok, was standing right next to the door. They locked eyes and grinned.

"Hey, Chim Chim!" Hoseok greeted, walking over to greet him with his bright, hope-inducing smile. "I feel like a fifth wheel in here," he whispered jokingly.

Jimin giggled. "Me too. You should date a girl, Hoseok-hyung!" he said.

"I know," Hoseok nodded. "I'm just waiting for 'the one'..." he thought dreamily.

Jimin stared at the straight uni student. "No one's perfect, you know... And you have to get to know people before you know they're 'the one'..."

Hoseok nodded. "I know! There's this girl who I'm friends with, and I think she might be it!"

"Have you asked her out?" he asked.

"I'll ask her out next month tomorrow..." he trailed off and started making a list. "I'll get flowers - red roses - and a good place to stare at each other after we confess, and it'll need food and atmosphere to enhance the experience and a place nearby where we can watch a breathtaking sunset..."

Jimin laughed as his friend unintentionally started rapping about what their date should be like. In the background, Jungkook and Taehyung had snuck up just after Jimin had asked his question and were recording Hoseok's romantic tirade.

A minute later, Hoseok's rant was finished and he was grinning sheepishly as Jungkook and Taehyung joked about his rant becoming a new song. Jin and Namjoon shared a look.

Jin broke into the group's 'conversation'. "What about we compose a solo song for Hoseok to sing and have him perform it to her in the university auditorium? I can book it in a few week's time."

Hoseok grinned. "That sounds good! Do you mind?" he turned to everyone else.

Jimin shook his head. "No, of course not, hyung! This is your happiness, and that's important."

Jungkook and Taehyung agreed with him, Taehyung still holding his phone. Just as Namjoon opened his mouth to say he and Jin agreed too, Taehyung accidentally pressed play on the recording of Hoseok.

The poor uni student blushed bright red as everyone listened to the recording and 'awww'ed every time he said something especially cute.

They were a merry bunch.
