Fire and energy tangled together with a fierce boom, tendrils sparking and colliding in a chaotic mess. The air itself thrummed with power as two opposing forces came up against each other.

Yoongi felt the energy in the air, felt it caress the few patches of skin uncovered by his stifling suit and felt the sun beat down on him, melding with the energy to create a sensation that was simultaneously stimulating and unpleasant. With sweat pouring down his back, he concentrated on observing everything; the civilians screaming, running and cowering, Hoseok standing frozen, cradled comfortingly by Taehyung, the only civilians left in the middle of the road, the henchmen and the other super - Easuin - battling for victory, and the fire which was becoming weaker and weaker.

That wasn't right.

He scanned the villain's mind and inhaled sharply. The man planned to take him on in hand-to-hand combat. That in and of itself would normally be easy, but he didn't usually bring weapons with him, relying instead on his powers. But if they stayed on the ground and the man went through with his plan, heating his fists up as hot as possible and punching him with them...

Even just one hit would put him in hospital for weeks. He wondered who had told him to do that. In any case, Yoongi changed his plan quickly, adjusting for the new information. A more brutal approach may be necessary.

So, he grabbed onto the man's mental barriers and tore. The man screamed with agony. The sound was grating and animalistic, the most primal and sincere expression of pain. Yoongi and everyone around him cringed at the sound, but he didn't stop. He kept tearing and shredding until he was sure the man would suffer terrible headaches every single day for weeks and weeks.

Around them, the battle slowed to a halt. Even the henchmen were shocked at the level of brutality that was occurring. Glancing at Hoseok, shaking and embraced by Taehyung, he stopped tearing. He didn't want to traumatise either of the bright boys any more.

With one final tug, he released the man's shields. He hadn't even done anything to his mind itself, but the shields were so firmly attached to it that tearing it away could be likened to tearing skin off. That was the drawback to that particular type of shield. Very strong and inflexible, but when up against a more powerful enemy, a mortal weakness.

Staring at the man on the ground who whimpered and sobbed pathetically like a newborn baby, the disgust hit him like a freight train - no; more like a jet plane, or maybe an asteroid.

Clenching his fist, he stared around at the other henchmen. "So?"

The men paled. "Y-yes?" "S-s-s-so w-what?" "AGH!"

"I'm going to bed. You had better turn yourself into the police like good children," he said monotonously, pinching the bridge of his nose tiredly. "I'm too young for this."

The men dropped their knives and guns hastily, putting their hands behind their heads just as the police arrived. Easuin helped the police handcuff the subdued criminals, the entire scene accompanied by the broken weeping of the villain.

'What was his name again?' Yoongi thought, staring blankly at the man, pity and regret welling up within him. '...Bulyuli. Cheong Donghoon.'

Closing his eyes for a few moments, he focused on building another compartment to put yet another unwanted and horrible memory into and seal away. Shortcuts came at a price, after all.

Soon enough, the police approached, hauling the broken man to his feet and leading him away. One of them stepped forward to talk to Yoongi, but he waved them off. "I'll send my statement through the bureau," he muttered.

The police officer seemed a little disappointed, but Yoongi didn't care. He just wanted to go to sleep and forget that this day ever happened.

Being a super certainly wasn't as cool and glamorous as the rest of the population seemed to think.
