"I'd rather not thanks," you said curtly. Hurrying to find an excuse you rack your brain trying to think back to the story of Peter Pan you were told as a child. Vaguely you remember Peters friends- the lost boys - and his... Before you could finish your train of thought Peter pulls you gently in towards him, you close your eyes for impact but you feel a hot breath on your ear instead. Blushing with embarrassment you listen to Peters whispers;
" I'm sorry for putting pressure on you.... they can be a bit urm... much sometimes to deal with, how about we jump ship?" Peter pulls back and gives you a cheeky half smile, his eyes gleaming with mischief, you give a quick nod returning his smile. Sharply he hops to his feet and proceeds to pull you up with him.
"Oh boy oh boy, look at the time," he shoots the mermaids an apologetic smile, "I'm terribly sorry girls, time flies when your having fun, I've got to introduce the lovely (Y/N) to the boys before nightfall." He flashes you a wink while the girls give a chorus of groans in protest of Peters abandonment.
Your heart sores with joy at your departure,thank goodness you can escape from these mystical creatures torture. Trying not to sound toooo happy you mutter out your goodbye as sincerely as you can but they recognise the cheerful tone and flash you a glare.
