Dear diary,

It's been about two and a half weeks since Luke and I have been in together and it's amazing. Everyday after school we go to his house. He makes me life seem less horrible than it already is.

My birthday is in a few days, let's just hope my father doesn't ruin in.

Sincerely,

Micheal.

I slowly left my room, back pack on my shoulder. My dad was drinking again last night.

He left bruises and hand marks on my body, which I managed to cover most. When I reached the living room, he was passed out on the couch.

I took off, out of the front door, probably waking him, and rushing to school.

When I reached the building, Calum and Ashton were at the steps. "What the hell?" Calum asked, taking my face in his hands.

He brushed over my cheek, "Mikey..." He whispered.

"He was drunk..." I mumbled, feeling the tears well up in my eyes. "Mikey, what happened?" Ash asked.

"Nothing." I mumbled. "If you don't file a report, I will." Calum said, through gritted teeth.

"I can't...he's my dad. And I'll be eighteen in only four days." I said. "I don't care! This has gone on for too long!"

"What?" The voice of the one and only Lucas Hemmings.

"What the fuck happened to your cheek?" He asked. "Mike's dad is an abusive drunk." Calum said.

Luke pulled me into a hug, "Why didn't you say something, baby?" I shrugged. "It hasn't happened for a while." I mumbled.

"I don't care if it had stopped. The thing is, it happened again. I'm just worried about you." He said, his hand on my cheek.

I blushed and placed my hand on top of his. "I'm okay, trust me. I've been saving money since I was ten to move out. I've already found an apartment and I'm set. I just need my birthday to come." I explained.

He smiled, "Mikey..." He whispered. "Yes, love?" I asked. "I love you." He mumbled, against my lips.

My heart could've skipped out of my chest. It was like he and I were in heaven. It was like every wish I've ever made came true.

"I love you too." I breathed out before filling the gap between our lips.

-

"Mikey, Mikey, mikey." Ashton repeated over and over. "Yes?" I asked, quietly.

He frowned, "are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm okay." I said. "Would you be up for a film at the cinema?" Calum asked. "Of course." I said. I glanced at look to see him nodding.

"Calum, when is Joy coming home?" I asked. "Um, late tonight. She's stuck at work." He answered.

"Who's joy?" Ashton and Luke asked. "Calum's mum." I said.

"If it's not a touchy subject, where's your mum during all of this?" Ashton asked.

"She...uh, she left us when I was a kid." I said, pulling my sleeves over my hands. Luke pulled me into him and kissed my cheek.

"How about tht film, eh?" Luke asked, changing the subject.

-

I thought Marley and Me was a sad film, I am proven that The Fault in Our Stars is the saddest but loveliest movie ever made. While we washed our faces in the bathroom, trying to get red our pufy eyes and red noses we laughed ourselves.

"Luke, you cried like a bloody baby!" Ashton joked.

"But it was sad. I didn't know what else to do, there were too many feels." He said, pouting.

"Aw, my baby." I said, kissing his small nose. "Your nose is still red, Mikey." He said, softly.

"I know, it takes a while." I said. He kissed my nose, then my cheek and finally, my lips.

My phone rang, playing All Time Low's "Therapy."

I took it out of my pocket and put I too my ear.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Mikey? I-it's mum."
