"JEON JUNGKOOK!"

He ran away laughing maniacally; slipping on the ice a few feet away and tumbling into the powdery floor. You shivered in utter discomfort at the snow that turned to slush against your face due to body heat. It trickled down your cheeks as you winced.

You quickly wiped the frozen slosh off and glared at your friend who had thrown the snow at your face; quickly laughing when you saw he had fallen.

"Serves you right," you spoke with a smirk; he rolling over before getting up. His face still sported a smile even though he had issues getting up due to the huge coat and many layers his guardians had made him dress in.

Even in ridiculous clothing he still managed to look attractive with his cheeks that were pink from the cold and his plump lips that lightly huffed out a breath that was seen in the cold air. Snow embedded itself in his black hair even after he tried to brush it out with his mittens.

He was all smiles due to being off of school, and you understood his excitement.

"Why aren't you wearing a hat?" You lectured, knowing his 'parents' had given him one but he had most likely taken it off.

He shook his head; jumping a bit as snow successfully fell from the shoulders of his coat.

"I don't need it."

"You know what you do need? Ears. Don't come complaining to me if your ears fall off after getting frost bit."

Jungkook completely dismissed your worries and instead voluntarily fell back into the snow to make snow angels. You watched him as he smiled up at the snow falling on his face and you shook your head. After a moment he got impatient and huffed.

"(Y/N)!" He whined, sitting up and dusting off his hair once more as he peered at you. "Come!"

You blinked when you realized you had just been standing there and slid your hand away from the door frame.

"Give me a second Kookie."

You shivered lightly and closed the door; shutting out the cold air before you ran to fetch warmer clothes. You found yourself smiling as you anticipated spending the day at home with Jungkook; very thankful for the small but needed break from school.

It was already winter and you found it hard to believe. Ever since you found out Jungkook's stay wouldn't be permanent, it seemed to you as if time had been running faster. How cruel of the world to do this. You tried very hard for Jungkook's sake to act as if everything was normal, but every time you said goodbye to him after school you could help but feel your heart fill with fear and the looming sense of when you might be saying goodbye to him for the last time.

After throwing on your coat, hat, scarf, and boots, you headed out the door. This time when Jungkook threw snow at your face you were ready and ducked; it hitting the door behind you.

"Ha!" You spoke triumphantly, coming back up to see him frowning in disappointment that he didn't hit you. "Nice try."

Your heart dropped when he suddenly took off; chasing you with the other snowball he apparently had in his other hand. You found it difficult to run from him in the snow, and after tripping a bit decided it was better to just give up.

You crouched down and tried to defend yourself but the snow ended up on your head. You squeaked when you felt it crumble against your hat and Jungkook laughed triumphantly.
