Sam wasn't a good wingman. Jungkook would be lying if he said he was. His ideas never caught your attention and never swayed any sort of change. To be perfectly honest, the only reason Jungkook even allowed him to continue helping him was because it gave him a chance to talk about how he felt, which was something he didn't usually do but now felt compelled to.

The snow and ice soon melted away and left green peeking through the grass. To Jungkook, spring was a time of hope and love; desperation reaching it's peak as the seasons seemed to fall in the time glass that only trickled closer to summer. Hope filled his mind but fear always stopped him from making advancements.

Talking was now almost healing as it gave a chance for him to practice English and actually express what he had been bottling up for so long.

He even ended up telling Sam about the kiss.

It was an awkward conversation, but once he got past Sam's initial shock and all the... questions... Jungkook was glad he told him. Talking about what had happened so long ago but still played such a major rift in the two of you's relationship was necessary and like a breath of fresh air once Jungkook had admitted the happening to his friend.

Sam even gave him... slightly helpful words.

"Well, it just sounds like after you two made out she was scared to loose you as a friend; even if she did like you. Since you had an 'excuse' to kiss her, it's not like she knows you like her or anything. She could just be going along so she doesn't loose you."

After translating what he had said, Jungkook gave this some thought. It was possible... that you maybe did like him... Right? The two of you were close, but Jungkook hoped that this closeness wasn't to the point where you would consider anything further... weird.

To him, anything regarding a further relationship certainly didn't seem weird. On the contrary, when he was kissing you, everything felt right. Even though it was uncomfortable and at times suffocating, Jungkook didn't want that ever lingering tension to leave. If it ever did he would most likely be stuck as 'just a friend' forever.

Thankfully, it was definitely still there.

So yes, spring was a time of hope and love. But apparently there was something far more important in spring that had captured the excitement of the entire school and had everyone buzzing in anticipation. Jungkook didn't quite understand the excitement as he saw the event as something fairly bland, but besides him, the word "prom" was on everyone's mind and lips.

"Why is prom so good?" Jungkook questioned, unsure of the excitement everyone was portraying while Sam paced in front of him in thought. "Isn't it a girl thing?"

"What? No dude," Sam responded, stopping in front of him with surprise on his face, "Prom is supposed to be awesome."

"But you don't know why?"

Sam paused.

"Uh... not really. But it is."

Jungkook slumped into the back of the couch in slight irritation and crossed his arms as he readied himself for another sort of pep talk from Sam.

"Not only is it awesome, but it's a great opportunity for you. We just need to get (Y/N) to go to prom with you, which will be easy enough."

"You said that last time," Jungkook muttered, wincing at the recollection of the last attempt he had made to sway you in the direction of being more than his friend.

"How was I supposed to know you were going to screw up? If you had done what I said EXACTLY then-"

"I wasn't going to do what you said."
