"Don't you feel guilty?" Draco stared out to the great hall. Taking a long sip of water, he replied,

"About what?" Blaise shrugged his shoulders.

"Y/N." The mere mention of her name made him nearly choke. He snapped his head around to Blaise. A cold sneer, usual for his lips, was plastered on his face. But this was one different more menacing than usual.

"What about the little bitch?" Blaise sighed.

"Do you feel guilty? You've been giving her a pretty hard time these last few weeks. I mean, you knew there was going to be a time you would break up." Draco slammed his hands on the table. The whole hall turned silent.

Blaise looked shocked. "Never talk of her again." Draco spoke in a quick, hushed whisper. Then, he stood up and stormed out of the hall.

Blaise's words rang in his head as he made his way too... He didn't know where he was even going. Of course he had been hard on her; she broke his heart.

"Draco, I don't want to be going out with someone who is a bully!" Y/N shouted. Draco scoffed loudly.

"So that's all I am? We've been together, what a year? A year and a half? All you can say about me is that I'm a bully?"

"Of course not. I love you Draco but this-" A sad sigh left her lips. "I think we should take a break." Draco's mouth hung open.

"You're breaking up with me?" Y/N shook her head fiercely, rushing forward to cup his cheeks with her small hands.

"No, I just think we need a day or two apart-"

"Don't bother! How dare you assume I would even care! You know what? I'm done. We're done. For good." Ripping her hands from his face, he strode out of the common room, making sure to bash his shoulder against hers.

The memory played over in his mind. He didn't want to leave her. But that was all he was: A bully. And if he didn't know what else to be, he might as well follow his label.

Draco slumped down against a random wall, hugging his knees to his chest. He had been awful to her.

A few days after their break up and everyone knew. Draco had let all his emotions out in one night. More than could be said for Y/N. It was Potions class. Draco walked over and took his seat at the back.

"Class, today we are working on our projects. Please get into your partner's and proceed." Snape spoke. My partner? Who was that?

"Wait, what project?" He whispered to Goyle. Goyle shrugged, but stood up anyway and walked over to his partner.

"Umm, D-Draco?" A small voice spoke out. Draco looked up to see Y/N. Instinct made him want to get up and hug her, pull him to his chest and kiss her for hours. Instead a cold sneer rose to his face.

"What do you want?" He snarled. Y/N gave him a sad, pleading look.

"You're my partner." She whispered. Draco nearly flipped out about what she said until he remembered.

"Oh. Yeah. Fuck." She nodded quickly, hugging her book tighter to her chest. Draco stood up and slugged over to where she was sat. The room watched for a moment before quickly going back to their own thing.

"Last time we, umm, we got to putting the, umm, the-"

"Stop mumbling! In fact shut up. I have a headache." Y/N looked at him. He rolled his eyes, grabbing his quill and looking at their essay.
