Distant:

Draco had been acting distant lately. You had noticed how his hugs were a little less tight and his kisses shorter than usual. You had wanted to confront him about it for a while now but it seemed as if he was never there.

It was only now that you both had a free period that you finally decided to act. Draco had disappeared midway through breakfast. He just got up and left, without a word to you or anyone else. Blaise gave you a confused stare and Crabbe and Goyle stayed oblivious as always. You decided to get up and follow him; now was the time to confront him.

The corridors were fairly busy, considering it was early. You could barely catch sight of his platinum hair as you tried to get through the crowds. Your fellow students tried to talk to you but you had no choice but to brush them off with a simple 'hey' or 'sorry i'm busy right now!' Soon you had reached a clearing and the masses of people were gone.

"Draco?" You called out softly, hoping for him to come to you. When there was no reply, you decided to carry on walking. That was until you heard a small bang. Curious, you followed the echo until reaching a door you had never seen before. It was as if it had appeared from nowhere.

A small shout came from inside and without thinking of the consequences, you slowly pushed it open. The room was cluttered and quite big. You were confused on how you had missed it. There were shelves and cauldrons, brooms and bottles, but only one thing stood out more than anything else.

Draco was pacing up and down, practically pulling his hair out, and muttering angrily to himself. "Why isn't it working?" You managed to work out. "He's going to kill me!" It was at that you accidentally made your presence known, as a small gasp left your lips and you fell foward. Draco, shocked, spun around to face you, his face pale and features scared.

"Y/N..." He sounded so anxious, so serious, that you were almost positive it wasn't your boyfriend, but some replica of him. "What are you... I mean how did you get in here?" He choked out.

"I followed you." You whispered. "I was, am, worried about you." The room was cold and there was an eeriness that hung over it. You wrapped your arms tight around your  frame, trying to bring warmth to your body and colour back to your cheeks.

"Why?" Draco said, quieter this time.

"Because you've been acting weird." You began, speaking up. "You always leave at random points, you aren't teasing people as much and your skipping classes. Not to mention the thing you have going on with Snape, which yes I have noticed. And you just feel... different. Like, not as invested in anything, mainly out relationship." You inhaled deeply and shut your eyes. "I just want to know what's wrong."

Your eyes shut open when small sobs filled the room. Draco was crying? You didn't have time to think as you rushed foward and embraced him tightly to your body, his knees giving way as soon as he was being held. "It's okay, Draco, I'm here." You muttered softly as he cried into your blouse.

You had never seen him like this, so weak and vulnerable. You could tell he had been holding back a long time and it was all finally coming out. "I-I can't..." He sobbed, clinging onto whatever he could of you to bring himself even closer. "I just-"

"Take your time, Draco, I'm not going anywhere." This seemed to help him relax, and as you rubbed comforting circles on his back, his breathing slowed and soon he was calm. "What's wrong?" You spoke when you decided he seemed ready to talk. There was silence for a brief moment before he exhaled shakily and began to talk.

"The Dark Lord... he asked something of me." Your whole body froze. Anything with him in it was never good news. "He wanted me too fix soemthing, this here-" He pointed to a tall cabinet at the back of the room- "And I've been trying and trying but... it won't work. Nothing works." He sighed and you tried to regain your composure.

"B-But why did he ask you?" You managed to get out. Draco tensed before sitting rigid in your arms. He seemed to debate with himself before slowly pulling up his sleeve.

"Y/N... I'm a Death Eater." Inked on his pale skin, almost too disgusting to be real, was the dark mark and you felt tears brim your eyes.

"No..." You were almost too scared to touch it, but you needed to feel it was real.

"Yeah. And I hate it. This! But if I don't do this, he will kill me. Or kill someone close to me. And I can't risk losing you. I can't!" You could see he was close to breaking down again and you were too. So you took both his hands in yours, pulling his sleeve down as you did.

"You won't lose me. Nothing will happen to us because Dumbledore will protect us!" You hardly noticed how his face paled even more. "He won't win. I know he won't. And Draco, you don't have to do this! You don't..." You tried to remain calm for him. "Please, just come with me and we can figure this out. I can help you. I will help you." Draco looked conflicted. You noticed, and cupped his cheeks, softly leaning your forehead against his. "I'm always here for you. Always."

It was as much a nudge as he needed. He nodded, lightly at first but it eventually got stronger. His teary eyes met yours before he pressed his lips against your own before kissing you fiercely. "I love you." He got out and you managed to smile.

"I love you too. Now, come on. Let's get out of here." You both stood up, fingers interlocked, and you knew in that moment, whatever happened, you would always have eachother.

My exams were cancelled so now I don't have school anymore. Like ever. Soo I have lots of spare time to update. Request if you want, I know I have a few which I haven't done yet so I will get to those ASAP.

Anyway, how is isolation going for you?

And question: what imagines do you prefer? Like happy, sad, angsty, romantic, short, sweet, smutty (ha not gonna write smut but whatever) etc. Just wanna know what to write next.

Hope you are all okay ❤
