When Shawn Mendes and his wife Elodie find out that they are having a baby, they are beyond excited. Shawn is busy making his fourth album and has to go on many overseas trips and festivals, promoting his new album.

"I can't believe there's a little human being in there that we created." Shawn smiled, rubbing my belly even though there wasn't a visible baby bump yet.
"Bean, just know that mummy and daddy love you even though you're not here yet. Don't come out too late or we'll be waiting forever!" Shawn placed his hands on my stomach, as I rested my head on his shoulder.
"Did you just call our baby bean?" I looked up at Shawn, laughing.
"Did I? I must have not realised." Shawn grinned, kissed my belly again gently, before wrapping his arm around my shoulder and kissing my forehead.
"Should we tell my family now?" I asked, reaching for my phone on my bedside table.
"Sure, I'm sure Kylie will be excited." Shawn sat up, helping me put a pillow behind my back.
Within a few rings, Kylie picked up.
"Hey Shawn and El! What's up? We just talked a couple days ago." My sister stood up, walking towards the recognisable living room where mum was.
"We've actually got some news." I said, looking at my mum and Kylie's shocked reaction.
"It's good news." Shawn smiled at the same expressions that had appeared on his family's faces a couple hours ago.
"We're pregnant." I said, looking up at Shawn to see him grinning.
"I'm going to be an aunty!" Kylie screamed, jumping up and down just like Aaliyah.
"My little girl's growing up." My mum said, wiping tears from her eyes.
"Mum! Don't add onto my pregnancy hormones!" I said, struggling to hold back tears.
"We just had our first doctor's appointment this morning and El is 5 weeks pregnant." Shawn kissed me on the cheek.
"Hang on!" I quickly handed the phone to Shawn before going over to my bag to grab the scan.
I climbed back onto our bed, showing the ultrasound scan to the camera. "That's our baby." I pointed at the small dot.
"It's beautiful!" Mum said, tearing up again.
"Mum, it's just a dot!" Kylie said, examining it on the screen.
"Hey, don't call out baby a dot!" Shawn joked.
"Ok guys, we're gonna go now. We're pretty exhausted." I said.
"Oh yeah, it's like midnight for you guys right? Ok, see you." Kylie said before waving to the camera.
I hung up, snuggling back up to Shawn's warm body.
"I'm gonna really miss you babe. Promise me you'll come back soon, ok?"
"Promise honey. I'll be back before you know it." I could see the glint of guilt in his eyes. Feeling bad I kissed him gently, trying to reassure him that I'll be fine.
"I have Aaliyah and your parents and Claire as well." I said, placing my hand on my stomach.
"I'll call and text you everyday. I'll even send you snaps, you know I never do!" Shawn kissed my forehead, the overwhelming exhaustion causing me to fall asleep in his arms.
