Chapter 9 - Alexander
Alexander squinted in the bright light. He could see other Angels glaring at him. He recognised some of them who had talked to him or who he had helped. He couldn't help feeling betrayed by them. He kept his head low as he took his place in front of God. Of course, Alexander couldn't see God's face, no-one could. It's hard to explain but there seemed to be a mist always hanging around God but you could always feel his presence.
Alexander barely listened to the trial. He was too tired and worried to concentrate. However, he was wide awake when he found out when he was guilty, and when he was given the same punishment as Mariana. He was pleased because he could see Mariana again but nervous because he didn't know exactly where she was. All he knew was that it was somewhere in Milton Keynes.
The next day Alexander woke up to find himself in a dirty apartement. He pulled a face. He wasn't allowed to keep his powers but he didn't care because when he went outside and asked someone where he was, the answer was a mile away from Milton Keynes.
