The Alter

I watched as she walked down the aisle, the train of her long white dress dragging behind her. When she got to me, she stopped and gave me a small, sad smile. She put her hand on mine, and I felt my heart break. She kissed me on the cheek, then continued down the aisle. I looked at the man standing at the alter, he didn't deserve her, he didn't deserve anyone.
