Everything felt different now that she wasn't here. It felt wrong but there was no way I could ever let her know. So, I played it cool. I pretended I didn't notice her when we were in the halls and I walked around with a huge smile. She couldn't know that I was breaking inside. I wouldn't let her see that.
It hurt the most when I saw her with another guy. They looked so happy as I stood there, feeling as though I had just been hit by a truck.
I couldn't finish school that day. I just went home and I couldn't help but think that maybe things would have been different had I told her how I felt. Just three little words may have changed everything. I love you.
