The Bravest

She stares at the same old floor ever day
Maybe things would be different if only there was a way
She encourages her eyes to show her feelings
With her daughters at once they cling
She smiles looking at her brother's smile
If only she could make him smile
At least by words and not actions
She would show her true affection
She dreamed of walking
Only to listen to others talking;
About how great she used to be
And she prays for the one day that she'll be free
To keep her legs on her own
To do for herself alone
To speak the things she wants to know
She watches the sky as it opens itself to let the rain pour
"God will give me ease" she believed
Her pain she threw away, safe and sealed
She faked a laughter so true
For her family who promise to find a cure
