The Only Need
If every eye saw every heart
And if every heart listened to every soul
And if every soul told the words that had to be heard
And if every ear accepted them how they meant
And if every mind thought within their limits
And if their limits were written in their fate
And if their fate was seen by knowledge
And if knowledge was never uncommon
And if uncommon meant no one
Then will anyone still implore for peace ?
