That night after they got the paternity results and got everything sent off they drove back home to Savannah. They pulled into her parents house and brought in Sloane with them and she said "Mom Dad um I know who her daddy is." As Bucky walked into the kitchen with Sloane in her carseat. "Its me" he said.
"Bucky?" Melinda said
"I um we slept together that night. Um I drove us home I stayed with her cause I know her she never calls an early night. When we got back to our dorm she started to get sick and got puke in her hair and I um put her in the shower and I was washing her hair and she turned around and told me that she stays away at parties cause she didnt want me or her to do something stupid and I asked what she meant. She kissed me and one thing lead to another and we had sex in the shower. Um shes my roommmate I knew she was on the pill so I didnt think about in a condom." He said
"Bucky we arent mad we are just glad that you helped her figure it out." George said
She smiled and said "We thought we would tell you all first."
Bucky bit his lip and said "Um George um can I marry her?"
"Um Im pretty sure you have asked me that before when you were 12 and I will tell what I said then. As long as you make her happy and never break her heart I dont mind you have always been like a son to me Bucky." George said
He smiled and said "Thank you sir."
"We should get going we some more people to go see"Frankie said
"Okay we will see you later" Melinda said
They got back in Frankie's car and Bucky drove them to his parents house. He said "Um baby wait here with her please.."
"Okay.." she said
Frankie knew why he was nervous and wanted her to stay in the car. Bucky and James were finally at a good place and not butting heads as much and he was afraid that his dad would be mad at him for making a careless mistake.
About 30 minutes later he came back out and said "Okay baby now you two can come in."
They got out of the car and went in Bucky's parents house and Winnie said "Let me see this girl."
Frankie got her out of the carseat and said "Sloane this is grandma and grandpa too."
James said "God she looks like you as a baby Frankie."
"Thats what I said" Bucky said.
They had dinner with his parents and then drove back to Athens.
