It was Peter's 17th birthday and all the Avengers had gathered to celebrate it. Tony was making a joke about the teen's 18th birthday when Loki spoke.
"Now brother Peter; when you turn 18 people are going to try and tell you to buy drugs or cigarettes because you can. No." The Avengers were shocked. Loki was actually giving the boy some sound advice. "You know what else you can buy at 18? Blades." Tony spit out his soda. "Get yourself a damn sword. A big knife it also okay."
"Okay Mr. Loki!" Peter grinned.
"Peter no!" Tony grabbed the boy and pulled him to his chest, covering his ears. "Don't encourage that Loki!" Tony hisses.
Loki frowned, "Why? I got my first knife when I was 109."
Tony frowned, "Peter doesn't need a knife."
And when Peter unwrapped the small green box on his bedside table, he decided that Tony didn't need to know. He wouldn't lie, but he wouldn't tell Tony unless he asked.
Peter smiled down at the elegent knife.
Loki had never gotten the others presents.
