She went to the woods

With naught but coin

And a thought to be free

No destination in mind

She walked through the woods

And she walked and she walked

Until her legs got sore

And her heart, it hurt

So she sat on the ground

Put her head in her hands

Said to the air, "What now?"

And when she looked up

She saw a deer, a stag

It looked at her and she looked at it

And it opened its mouth to speak

It said to her, "This is the path

you have chosen to take.

There is no way to go but forward.

This is an adventure so take what you can.

There is no way to go but forward."

So the girl set her jaw

And watched as the stag went away

And she said to herself, "Yes, I will go."

And she got on her feet and she walked
