"Wake up..." Toadette awoke to...a squirrel? No, a toad in disguise as a squirrel?
"WAKE UP!" Toadbert yelled.
"Toadbert!" she jumped, frightened by the yelling. She looked around to see she had been unconscious inside the broken ship.
"Where's Captain...? And Toadie...and Skiddy?"
"I don't know, I figured they'd be with you..." Toadbert looked worried.
"There's a lookout point over there, let's get a look..." Toadette climbed up and walked over to it. All she could see were empty small islands around the one with the big tree, over the black hole...
"What's that?" Toadbert pointed. Toadette looked hard. It was Toadie sleeping on one of the little islands!
"We could get to him, but the ship..."
"I can fix it, you see if you can find Captain and Skiddy."
Skiddy was fairly easy to find, running in circles on a comet orbiting the black hole. It seemed eventually it would go in, but over years and years. Captain, however, was nowhere to be seen.
"Done!" Toadbert called out a half hour later. "With modifications! Let's go get Toadie..."
