Fastest time I read a book-
Anyway hi guys. So I just finished reading the Anna and Apocalypse book.
If you didn't know, this book is based on the movie, so It almost like a life to life replica XD
Which gets me the chance to talk about it!
( This doesn't have spoilers )
So, I will talk about four main things in this review:
- Characterization
- If I like the characters or no
- Musical numbers ( I'll explain later )
- Deaths
So let's dive in!
So we have 6 main characters that end up in the group:

- Anna
- John
- Chris
- Steph
- Nick
- Lisa
Let me explain each one for you:
Anna - A smart, clever, and slight sassy girl who wants to leave her small town and go traveling. Nick is her ex
John - A sweet, and caring boy who loves Anna and wants hook up with her.
Chris - A naïve, laughable, boy who loves to make references to pop stars, fabs, and pictures. He is hooked up with Lisa
Steph - A Canadian, tough, sarcastic girl who has a girlfriend and was left by her parents so they could go to Mexico
Nick- A hot, idiotic boy who practically loves chivalry and loves killing zombies. Anna broke up with him after an incident at a Halloween party.
Lisa - A sweet, caring, and optimistic girl who cares for Chris's gran, Bea, and is hooked up with Chris
Characterization was done well, they nailed the characters perfectly!
Now, for me liking them.
Anna, for me, is great! I love her sarcastic tone and the relationship she and John grow was y e s

John is innocent, but not completely innocent, and his relationship with Anna is great!

Chris is just Chris xd

Steph is iffy, she is kinda likeable but is more like Susie. She doesn't like anyone early on, but then grows friendships with everyone as tie passes.

I hate Nick, it's mainly because of something that happens later. But he's just an ding dong.

Lisa is cute and ice and you DO care for her! It's just that you get so little of her doing her things and character development.

Now for musical numbers. Based off the songs I've heard they're all great! I kinda know where they also are based on word clues from dialogue.
I think that my top 3 songs I'd recommend to ANYBODY is:
1. What a Time to be Alive ( Orchestral Version )
2. Break Away
3. Give Them a Show
Now for deaths. No spoilers here for who DOES die. But...a lot of characters DO die, and a few of them are ones you care for.
Overall there are 6 major deaths throughout the whole thing.
I'm going to say one thing about the deaths.
There was death that I k n e w was coming, because I got spoiled to it.
But whyyyyy. And why so early too? Like it was the 1st group death, and 2nd major death. And they r e a l l y did not deserve to die ;——;
They should have replaced one of the surviving characters.
Speaking of surviving characters, there are 3. 1 of them is just like UGHHHh
