Rabbit in a Snowstorm. (Weiss x Reader)

I was hoping to relax today. Training with Emerald was physically and mentally taxing. That didn't happen unfortunately, as Glynda can on over the intercom.

"Would all first-year students please report to the amphitheater?"

I sighed "Let's go team..."

I reluctantly start walking. My team follows me with a little more enthusiasm than me. We eventually made it to the amphitheater. Professor Ozpin stands in front of the mic with Glynda behind him.

"Quiet! Quiet please. Professor Ozpin would like to share a few words before we begin." Glynda says

Ozpin starts his speech. "Today we stand together, united. Mistral. Atlas. Vacuo. Vale. The four Kingdoms of Remnant. On this day, nearly eighty years ago, the largest war in recorded history came to an end. It was a war of ignorance, of greed, and of oppression. A war that was about much more than where borders fell or who traded with whom, but about the very idea of individualism itself. We fought for countless reasons, one of which being the destruction of all forms of art and self-expression. And as you are well aware, that was something many could not stand for. As a result, those who opposed this tyranny began naming their children after one of the core aspects of art itself: color. It was their way to demonstrate that not only would they refuse to tolerate this oppression, but neither were the generations to come. And it was a trend that is held to this very day. We encourage individuality, expressionism, and unity through diversity. As I have said, today we stand together, united. But this bond cannot exist without effort. Which is why today, while the rest of the world celebrates peace, Huntsmen and Huntresses will work to uphold it. As first year students, you will be tasked with shadowing a professional Huntsman or Huntress on a mission. Some of you may be taken out of the Kingdom for several days. Others may work within the walls for the rest of the week. But no matter which path you choose, remember to be safe, remember your training, and remember to do your very best."

Ozpin steps away as the students all begin to file out of the amphitheater.

"What should we do (y/n)?" Blossom asks.

"I am not sure how about we look aroumd."

The Kamui and Aegis breaks from the group to look.

"How about this one, (y/n)?" Kamui asks.

Aegis continues. "A hunter is delivering supplies to a village just outside and vale."

I look to Blossom who silently approves.

"OK. Sounds good."

I walk to the screen and enters our team name.

"Let's get ready, if it's outside of vale there's going to be Grimm."

My team walks to where our airship is, and we encounter team Rwby, JNPR, Sun, and Neptune.

"Hey losers." Aegis said.

They seem to ignore that comment and greet us.

"What kinda job did you sign for?" Sun asked.

"We are overseeing a shipment to a village just outside of Vale." I said.

"That sounds like fun. Ren and Nora wanted to shadow a sheriff from a nearby village."

"We're shadowing a crime specialist. All inner-city detective stuff. We get junior badges." Neptune said.

Then sun follows up. "We normally go to the city with you guys, which means stuff's always exploding and junk, so we thought this might be a better way to check out the kingdom when it's, you know... normal."

Then professor Oobleck runs in to call team RWBY.

"Four minutes ladies."

"Well uh... Wish us luck!" Ruby says.

The group disbands heading off each on their own mission. Right as RWBY flies away another Bullhead arrives.

"Ready team?" I ask

"You bet. I've been waiting to do something like this." Aegis says

We land in the village after a while of flying. We got introduced to the professional huntsman and the rest of our small team. We are to each guard an engineer while they set up a new defense system to protect the village. He said there shouldn't be any Grimm around but if there is to signal him on his scroll. This was severely disappointing to Aegis who wanted a fight. I followed my assigned person a corner of the village. He gets to work as do I. It's boring but we sighed up for it. Suddenly I feel my scroll vibrate. I open it up.

"Sorry guys I really messed up." Aegis said. "I saw a Grimm by itself, so I killed it but it only brought more."

Then I hear growling coming from in front of me. There is a good amount of Grimm approaching.

"I knew you were trouble as soon as I saw you. Everybody needs to stand guard. I can't defend all of ya at the same time. Please don't die it'll look bad on my record."

I click a few buttons on my arm that activates projectile mode. I focus on the Grimm. Maybe if I don't shoot they won't come. However luck isn't on my side as a blast sounds off in the distance which causes them to run towards me. Pellets containing dust shoots out of my arm at a fast rate. The Grimm are being killed before they reach me.

Out of shots.

"How close are you to finishing"

"Just a little more time."

I sigh. You are so in trouble when we get back Aegis. A beowolf tries to scratch me, which I deflect. I grapple with the beast and held it in front of another attack. The Grimm starts turning to dust and I charge at the other Grimm and hits it with a dust filled punch. Then a Boarbatusk rolls towards me. I get ready to defend myself but it is blow away by a large blast. The system is finished. I take a rest on the ground.

It turns out I didn't have to chew Aegis out. Kamui was already on it before we even got on the Bullhead. Now we're back at the dorm. Kamui and Aegis left the dorm, so now it's just me and Blossom in the room.

"Hey (y/n). I've been wondering... You haven't spent much time with the team lately. Why is that?"

Right I've been going to train with Emerald quite often.

"I've been training. You know that guy I fought awhile ago, Mercury." Blossom nodded "After the fight he approached me with his friend. They offered to train me, so I accepted. I'll be sure to spend more time with the team."

"Well that wasn't quite what was the problem..." Blossom looks down at her feet. "You're one of my only friends... An-and it's upsetting that you won't talk to me."

After hearing her sniffling I run up and hug her.

"I'm so sorry, Blossom. You know there is something I need to get off my mind."

Blossom pulls away and I can see her teary eyes. She wipes away the tears and smiles.

"Okay, what is it?"

"It's about Weiss. I get this weird feeling when I am around her."

"Like a bad feeling."

"No... It's just a strange tingle, and at the dance I just couldn't help but stare at her. It's honestly frustrating."

Blossom giggled "I think your in love"

Love... Hmmm....

"Ummm yeah I guess. I love Weiss Schnee."

"You need to tell her."

"I don't know..."

It makes me feel nervous thinking about it. But why?
