Chapter 17 : Crossed Paths

Weiss woke up by the sound of chirping birds, she looked towards the window and saw that morning just came in

She woke up slowly didn't want to startle Alex, she wore her dress and headed downstairs
There she saw that the table was packed already, it seems that the maids already made the breakfast for everyone

She walked downstairs and saw that Charles just walked out from his Workroom

Charles : Oh, Miss Schnee, what a pleasant surprise, I didn't see you there

Weiss : Well, I-I came here yesterday though...alone

Charles : Oh that part, I already know from Aurora...you are welcomed here...anytime you want, please have a seat and enjoy the breakfast

Weiss : Thank you...

Weiss sat on the chair facing her breakfast, it was a hearty meal for her since she hadn't eaten anything since yesterday
She ate her meal slowly and enjoyed every bite on it

Charles was happy to see her healthy and all, considering the mental condition of Alex that was uncertain
He decided to ask that

Charles : So, Miss Schnee, how do you feel after you see Alex

Weiss : Happy...and sad at the same time...I was happy and glad to see him still alive...but sad that he just...blind...is that..permanent?

Charles : Not exactly my child...so you see...the cause of his blindness wasn't because of the overused Semblance...do have any memories where you remember when he said that if he used his clairvoyance more than 5 times, he went blind?

Weiss : No...he didn't tell me about it...

Charles : That's good...because that's a lie...he could use his clairvoyancy anytime he want...he's blind because of a stream of powers that surging inside his body

But among all of my kids...Alex was the special one...he was able to master 2 semblances like his mother...his Clairvoyance and Glyphs....he got the glyph powers from his mother, whereas his clairvoyance came from me....but importantly...his massive winter powers was buried deep inside...and somehow..he triggered it open

Weiss : this....this is a lot to take in....

Charles : I knoe dear...but know this....the cause of Alex's blindness was because he was still to weak to sustain his first Goddess-like powers....

Weiss : this...Amaterasu....what does he looked like...
