Mr Thompson's POV
"Don't worry Mrs, Wall your daughter should be fine and wake up in a few hours" I said reassuringly to the worried mother
"Thank you Doctor Thompson" she said holding onto her husband, he nodded at me and I to him walking out closing the sliding doors quietly
"Doctor Thompson you have a patient coming in, you'll be in treatment 5" Maggie said
I nodded running over to the doors where the paramedics brought in a teenage girl covered in blood
"Talk to me" said looking over her body as they wheeled her over to the assigned room
"17 year old girl found in her house with stab wound on the right side, who ever stabbed her dug it deep, it reaches up to 8cm in length and about half of an inch deep" Said Katie as she held a oxygen mask pushing air into the girl
"Alight" I paused as we got her in the room "On my count, 1..2..3" I said and we all pulled her onto the bed. One of the nurses pushed her long brown hair out of her face and I froze, I feel like I should know her
But its hard to tell from all the blood on her chest, face, and hands
Before Katie and Jonah left I pulled them aside while the nurses were working on the girl
"Katie, Jonah" I said
"Yeah?" she asked
"Whats up Doc T" said Jonah
"Do you um" I paused looking at the girl "Do you know her name?" I asked and start to panic at the thought of it being my little girl
"Yeah she said it was Emmalyn?" Said Jonah
It felt like my breathing wasn't working anymore
"Last name?" I asked, sounding breathless
So help me god, If someone hurt my little girl
They will be a dead man
Before they could answer the doors burst open, Aiden and Will walked in, all panicked and scared
"Please I-I need to see Emmalyn Thompson, she was brought here for a-a stab wound" Aiden said
I watched as the two boys tried to communicate with Maggie, but she wasn't letting them. I walked over "Whats the problem Maggie?" I asked, Will and Aiden looking at me desperately
"They want to see Emmalyn" She said weary, She came up to me and away from the boys "Tom I didn't know it was Emmalyn, If its going to be distracting then mayb-"
"Its okay Maggie" I said and she rolled her eyes
"Don't you remember what happened when your wife came in here? Her body full of third degree burns and blood?" She asked and I sighed
"I froze" I said "I know, I made a promise to myself that if anything were to happened like that again, I'd stick it out and do my job" I said turning to the two boys
