Chapter 3: A talk

I knew that once I got back home I would have to face Him. 'I need to calm my nerves if I want to go back, maybe I'll go there.' I walk off to a place that I'm pretty sure only I know of.

I walked through a forest until I reached a cliff, I sat down and looked up at the sky. 'Looks like it's gonna rain.' I start thinking about all the moments where I was supposedly 'happy'. 'It was nice while it lasted, I guess it's time to put my walls back up huh?'

It starts raining and a cold wind blows through the forest, I shiver. I let the rain roll down my face and I start to sing in an effort to vent.

The truth in front of my eyes
Along with all these desperate lies
Fade away like they're old memories
The warmth of someone's love, I have no feeling of
All those things I don't know anymore

And I watch, knowing that there is no end in sight

I stand up and begin walking home, I walk past the park from my childhood. I stop dead in my tracks and stare at it for a moment, 'Why did I let them torment me in the first place? Why did I put up with it? It's not like I was weak, so why?' I shake my head and keep walking.

I was about to turn a corner but stop once again hearing two voices. All Might and Izuku. 'I don't give a damn if they see me, it won't change anything.' I continue walking past the scene until they notice me.

"Athena?! I-I uh I can explain!" He stutters. "No need Izuku, I already know. So, found yourself a successor huh?" I say turning to face them, hands in pockets.

"Athena what you did was reckless, what would you do if you got hurt!"  All Might scolds. "It's honestly stupid really, needing a license to help people. Would it be a better decision to let him die?" I ask crossing my arms.

"Th-that's not what I meant!" He replies. "I'm going to visit someone, have fun with your new 'successor'. " I run off in the direction of the Bakugou household.

⏳Timeskip⏳

I ring the doorbell and step away from the door, I hear footsteps and yelling as someone approaches the door. "Athena, what are you doing here?" Asks Mitsuki while ushering me in.

"I'm here to see how Katsuki's doing, after all, he was attacked by a villain. I know he's not weak, I just want to make sure he's not discouraged by it." I reply.

"Katsuki, get your ass down here, Athena's here to see you!" Mitsuki yells. "I'm coming down already so shut the fuck up!" He retorts. I see Katsuki come down the stairs and glare at me.

"You didn't have to save me, don't think this means I owe you anything." "I know I didn't have to and I don't think you owe me. I wanted to let you know that what happened doesn't change the fact that you're strong. But don't get full of yourself got it?"

He looks at me for a second before saying anything. "I know that! I don't need you of all people to tell me!" I look at him with a smile. Katsuki then heads back up to his room and slams the door shut.

"Hey, Mitsuki?" "Yes, Athena?" I pause for and think before asking the question. "Do you mind if I stay the night? I kinda got into a fight with my Dad." The last part of my sentence seems really forced as if I disliked the word.

"Sure no problem! But I should probably ask for your father's permission first." She replies. 'If she calls him then they'll know! But I can trust them... right?' I pull my phone out of my pocket and dial his number. "Athena when are you coming back home?" He asks with a worried voice.

"I was wondering if I could stay at a friends house just for today. His mother was wondering if she could speak with you to get permission first, I'm handing her the phone now." I say while passing the phone to Mitsuki while nodding.

"Hello! You must be the mother of Athena's friend, yes?" Mitsuki's face goes pale. She points at the phone then back at me, I sigh and nod my head. "Y-Yes I'm Katsuki's mother, it's a pleasure to meet you, sir." She stutters.

"I hope that Athena has a great stay with you, I came home rather late because of certain circumstances. But it all works out so it's fine." "Th-thank you sir goodbye." She presses the end call button and stares at me. "YOUR FATHER IS ALL MIGHT?!" She yells so loudly that everyone in the house most likely heard her.

I take my hands off of my ears and sigh. "You don't don't have to let the whole world know, and yes my adoptive father is All Might," I say sheepishly. "Why did you never tell anyone?!" I shrug. "If people knew then imagine attention I would attract."

'If they knew my other secret then it wouldn't matter if All Might was my father.' I suddenly realise something. 'Katsuki definitely heard that, OH SHIT!' I turn around to see him staring at me in complete disbelief.

"WHY DID YOU NEVER TELL ME THIS YA 'LIL SHIT!?" He roared shaking me back and forth. I look him in the eyes, "I didn't want anyone to treat me any differently because of it." I answer while grabbing Katsuki's face.

"Anyways moving on, Mitsuki where will I be sleeping?" I ask while holding his face to keep him from attacking me. "Oh, you can sleep on the extra futon in Katsuki's room." I look back at him.

"Don't you dare blow me up while I'm sleeping, got it?" "No promises!" He stomps back up the stairs. "Thank you for letting me stay for the night." "No problem, but we will discuss what just happened tomorrow morning alright?"

Just as I thought I escaped the topic. "Alright, we'll do that then, goodnight," I say, walking up the stairs.
