Here we were on the road,

Cruising,

Traveling,

Arguing,

Again.

"Why do I even bother?" I watched as he furrowed his eyebrows

"You asking me?" I stared through the window,"You have the choice to stop and put me out on the side of the road."

"What is your problem?! I'm trying to help you, you selfish little-"

"Little what?!" I snapped my head towards him cutting him off

"I'm trying to help you and all you're doing is complaining!"

"I simply asked what the heck is going on and where you're taking me and you caught an attitude!"

"I told you enough."

"My head is telling me that you're working for your uncle and that you'll kill me and dump me in these bushes," I said folding my arms over my chest, he remained silent," why else would we be driving through these lonely roads for so long."

"It's taking everything in me not to put you off at the side of the road."

"Do it then!"  I unbuckled my seatbelt

He jammed his foot on the brakes, my body to jerked forward causing me to hit my head on the dashboard

"Get out."

I gave him a stern look while holding my head before I got out of the car and slammed the door.

"Ungrateful ass." He said as he rolled up the window and drove off

I now stood at side of the road, watching the car becoming distant

Staring,

The road was lonely, and I was mad

How in the hell did his uncle know to come look for me at his house, I felt like this is a set up and I calmly addressed the situation

And then he just started to argue with me, and I'm not going to sit down and let someone yell at me, I ain't no fool.

"Now this is why I don't trust people, you always end up like this," I muttered to myself, "This day can't get any worse."

I walked along the lonely roads, filled with nothing but tall grass until I came across a small gas station

"Heh, looks like my day is going to end well." I smiled to myself

I swiftly ran the rest of the way to the gas station and jogged inside

"Hey!" I greeted the cashier upon entering and walked up to the counter,"Can I have the bathroom keys?"

I watched as the middle aged man stared me up and down, then looked out through the glass and grinned

"What's a fine little thing like you doing out in this lonely place?" He asked

"I'm just a customer wanting to use the restroom." My forehead wrinkled, this man was giving me a vibe that I can't quite identify, but I don't like it

"I don't see a car so clearly you're not a customer."

"That doesn't stop me from being a customer."

"How'd you get here?"

"I walked."

"You walked 127 miles?"

"Why are you questioning me?" I took a step back,"I didn't come for an interview I came to pee."

I watched as he slowly slid the keys off the counter and into his hands, and he walked out from behind the counter
