Poverty

Doesn't matter if you're black or white

It's a ruthless devil that will capture us all.

Men out here beggin’ for dollars

People say they ain't got 'em or put their eyes down and try to walk farther.

What if that man was someone that you knew?

Relative or family friend.

I bet you'll say’ what up’ and hit his hand then.

And what happened to helpin’ your fellow men?

It's been preached in every church.

Yet when we see someone in need we don't have any hands.

But we magically sprout some when it ain't the people in our community.

So quick to help people overseas or anyone that's experienced a terrible tragedy.

But look at the place around you.

It's screaming, ‘See me! Please, we're need of help!’

But you don't do anything about it.

Long as it's not happening to you, you shouldn't worry about it.

That's the same thoughts that tourist have.

They only want to see the good but when the bad comes crawling out the dark

They don't even bat an eye.

They turn away and say, ‘How unfortunate.’ or ’Too bad.’

They show fake concern and have thoughts just like you.

But then again who cares.

It's nothin’ to worry about, right?

They're just tears cried from another man's eyes.
