Hey guys! So I think I should make a few disclaimers about this story. First off, it will be told by two POV (points of view), Ian and Noah. To make it less confusing, each chapter will only be told by one of the characters. I just wanted to clear that up so that there would be no confusion. Secondly, there will be some strong scenes of drugs, alcohol, violence, and sex. If this discomforts you, I would recommend clicking off this story now. Finally, I would love for y'all to comment down below after each section, because I love reading them. Just a little bit about my writing style is that I use italics to show characters internal thoughts, and I always do a mini recap at the end of each chapter. Without further delay, I give you "Our Secret"

Noah

"You late, Mr. Fay." Mr.Charles stated, clearly unimpressed. Of course, on the first day of my senior year, it would be my luck to be the only kid late for class.

"Please see me after school for detention, find any empty seat for now." he said, sensing my embarrassment.

I quickly scurried to the desk in the back right corner, happy to get away from the eyes of my peers. I had never been someone who enjoyed being the center of attention. I just couldn't believe I was so late. From my alarm not going off to missing the bus, to forgetting my backpack, I was officially done with the day, and I hadn't even made it to lunch. I hadn't even remembered what this class was. Glancing at the chalkboard, World History was written across the board. Great I have a detention already. While I brainstormed how many ways I could put an end t my misery, I head the door fly open. I looked up to see the most popular kid in the grade.

"I'm so sorry... I just... my car... locker..." Ian Pierce panted, clearly out of breath.

"Looks like you'll be joined by Mr. Pierce in detention, Mr. Fay."Mr. Charles stated, even more, frustrated than before.

Ian looked around the classroom, searching for an open seat. We both realized it was right next to me. Just my luck, the most popular kid in the grade would be sitting right next to me. Could this day get any worse?

The rest of that class period may have been the most boring time of my life, but terror started to cloud my mind. My dad is going to freak. I spent the rest of the day worrying about what to tell my dad, that I almost forgot about my detention! Rushing to B101, Mr. Charles classroom, I could only hope that he didn't extend my detention because of me being late, again. Opening the door with a start, I realized Ian was already there, and Mr. Charles looked dazed.

"Mr. Fay, so happy you could finally join us. I had just finished informing Mr. Pierce that I have a family emergency, and I will have to leave. Your detention today is to clean every desk in the classroom. Once you have both finished that, you may leave." Mr. Charles repeated.

Mr. Charles then gathered his belongings and left the classroom, leaving Ian and me alone.

"So, how are we going to do this." I said, realizing how incredibly stupid I sounded.

"Umm, I dunno, I was just gonna ditch." Ian said, in such a tone, it reminded me why I didn't talk to others.

"Well we have to get these desks done somehow, and I'm sure as hell not gonna do them all." I said. God, I didn't know why he was pissing me off so much, but I just wanted to get out of that classroom ASAP.

While I walked over to get the bucket, Ian in tow, I slipped fell forward on a piece of chalk Mr. Charles must have dropped earlier in the day. With a gasp, I started to fall. I braced for impact but was suddenly stopped. I looked behind me to see that Ian had stopped my fall. His hands were tied to my waist. I quickly gathered myself and stood up.

"Thanks." I muttered quietly, feeling my face turn red.

"Don't mention it." He said with ease.

I spent the rest of the time cleaning in silence, thinking about what had just happened. It wasn't a big deal, why was I making it one? Why did I care that he grabbed me by the waist, he was just making sure I didn't fall. I don't know what's gotten into me.

I was about halfway through my share of desks when Ian suddenly jumped.

"SHIT, I got football practice right now!" Ian yelled.

"Umm alright." I responded, freaked by his sudden outburst but still embarrassed by what had happened earlier.

"I gotta go, you gotta finish it up by yourself." He yelled, already halfway out the door

After finishing the desks, I got ready to leave, when I realized there was a notebook left on the ground. I knew it was Ian's, I just didn't know what to do with it. I usually would have just left it, but something in me made me pick it up and put it in my backpack, planning on giving it to him tomorrow.

Walking home, I didn't know what I was going to say to my father. I knew he was going to be so pissed, and I didn't know how to explain why I was so late. Arriving at my door, I took a deep before opening the door. As soon as I walked inside, I knew I would have been better off walking into the pits off hell.

UPDATE: Hey guys. For those of you who just started reading thank you! I forgot to proofread my first four chapters so I'm doing that now and thought I should add a mini note. The "romance" truly starts in Chapter 5, though there is a minor romantic scene in Chapter 4. I don't want to spoil too much, but I know as a writer my skills will be better from Chapter 5 and on because I write romance better than I can write the backstory. Thank you all, and I hope you enjoy the story!!

Original: Hey Guys. So this was the end of chapter 1 of this story. Sorry, it's a shorter one, but anything else (AKA at home life or what's in the notebook) I would rather save for later. Please do comment down below some suggestions, theories, and questions you may have, as I would love to read them. Also, please feel free to criticize me, in a kind way. I would love to know how to make this more enjoyable for you guys (the readers). Thanks!!
