Down the stairs (chapter 4)

Once through the door , I looked back to see tears in my brothers big , baby blue eyes . This sight made my heart tighten a bit but I knew I had to do it . I had to go , not just to save myself but also my brother . I had to go away so that he would not inherit my rebellious nature .

I blew him one quick kiss and left . Outside the crowds started to form . It really worked on my nerves . All those stares , whispers and strange looks . But it didn't matter . I was no longer one of them . I was on my own .

As I reached the stairwell that descends to earth , I saw Gabriel . My best friend in the whole world . It hurt me to think I will never see him again .

I ran over to him and gave him a big hug . For the first time that day I felt tears form in my eyes . For the first time I felt sad . I didn't want to leave him .

But what's done is done . I am leaving heaven for good . I am going to earth to start my life .

I let go of Gabriel's broad shoulders and let out a little " I'm so sorry Gabe " It was just soft enough for him to hear .

Tears were flowing freely down my cheeks now. "I will miss you Gabriel . " I said as I walked to the stairs .
"Good bay everyone . I know you won't miss me . I won't miss you either . " I said with a huge smile on my face .

Slowly I placed my foot on the first step . Then another and another . So I went , without looking back .

Wow , that went better than I thought . I AM A FREE GIRL NOW .

Finally I reached the bottom . I was on earth . Wow . Its prettier than I thought .

So I took my first steps onto earth .

New life ....here I come...
