Near the entrance of an old stone castle, I stood alone face to face against an unusually large beast. Well... I thought I was alone, as someone insulted me from the castle walls.

???: What the hell are you doing out here!?
What?
Noticing the creature's massive paw swiping at me, I hopped back a bit and gripped the hilt of the blade. As it stopped, I lunged and drew the sword out from behind me in a wide arc, slamming it down onto the paw. Tearing through bone and flesh, the sword stopped as it dug into the dirt, prompting the beast to pull it's claw away and use its shoulder to charge its entire body at me. Using the wide blade as a shield, I felt my feet dig into the ground as it dragged me backwards.
Yang: Weiss, who are you talking to-? Oh, hello.
Weiss: The moron who's fighting a Vajra, alone, with one arm, and in his underwear!!
Yang: Hey. I'm not gonna complain.
As it stopped, I pulled the blade out from the dirt and spun it around. As I did so, the creature hopped back and launched a small ball of electricity at me. A bit dizzy, I was unaware of it as it hit me, electrocuting my body for half a second.
OOOOOWWWW!
Weiss: He's gonna get himself killed.
Yang: I got it. You're needed at the other side anyways.
Weiss: And here I thought I was getting a break.
Ending up on one knee, I watched as the creature began to back up. Gripping the blade, I leaned against it, waiting for another charge. Instead, the sound of shotgun fire and bone cracking was heard.
Huh?
Peeking over, the young woman from before stood in between me and the Vajra. The latter missing a good chunk of its bone plating.
