I hear footsteps and quicken my pace, I'm not going to make it easy for you.
The closer you come, the farther I get. The faster you go, I'll be gone. Take your time and enjoy the fun.
With sweat dripping, heart thumping, my lazy legs taking me far, I know you'll never catch me now.
I want to teach you a lesson, that you won't get everything you want in life, but despite that I want you to have me. I want you to claim me.
I want to love you and I want you to love me, but first comes the chase.
