Pluviophile

(n.) a lover of rain; someone who finds joy and peace of mind during rainy days.

Today was a weekend and there was no school. It was pouring rain, making my friends and family complain. I didn't though.

I enjoy the comfort of the rain, the sound of water droplets bouncing off the roof, the streaks of liquid that trickle down the window pane, the fresh, clean smell outside after the sun comes up and dries the Earth.

I sat in my room most of the day on my laptop with a cup of tea, a warm sweater covering my top half, and leggings to cover my scrawny legs.

Normally I would listen to music, but not on rainy days. I don't want to block out the peaceful sound of the beautiful water falling to the ground, hydrating the plants and chilling humans to the bone.
