Chapter Two

It was close to dusk when Arnav entered the house with his partners in crime laughing at their latest prank.

"It actually serves him right Arnie, How dare he eye ASR's sister like that. He had to pay the price for his foolishness" Alok supports his brother

"Did you listen to him in Dr. Maher's lecture? He was sounding so ridiculously sqeaky." Arnav recounted to them.

"I know right, But Arnie Where did you get the vermillion from that too in the middle of the lecture?" Pragya asked curiously

"I took it from Mumma's veneration plate, She was going to offer it to her Devi-Maiyya, I thought I'd do that on her behalf instead, But then we got late and I forgot." Arnav shrugged "Good thing, It came to our use later anyway"

"You were planning on going to the temple Arnie?" Alok's eyes rounded in shock along with his sister's

"Anything for Mumma!!" Arnav said nonchalantly

"Yeah Right. Come on now let's go, I'm practically starving!!" Pragya pouted

The boys rolled their eyes at their dramatic sister, "Is there a time of the day when you're not hungry Poori?" Arnav enquired

"Yes!!"

"Liar!!" The boys exclaimed in unison

"Yeah, So what?? I'm like Khushi Maasi!" Pragya said proudly raising her imaginary collar

"You can't match Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada, Don't even try to. KKGSR is always going to be unmatchable!!"

"Tujhe itni taqleef kyon hoti hai agar koi Maasi se Khud ko compare karta hai?? I am like her, After all she's my masi!! (Why do you have a problem if someone compares himself/herself with maasi??)" Pragya argued

"Haan hoti hai problem, KKGSR ko koi match nahi kar sakta, She's the only one in this whole wide world!! (I do have a problem, No one can match KKGSR,)" Arnav stated firmly

"Dramatic ASR!!" Pragya mumbled out loud.

"Aren't you hungry now? Chalo ander chupp chaap!! (Come inside quietly!!)" Arnav gave her a slight push

The three siblings entered the hall of the Raizada Mansion to find their whole family sitting in front of the Smart LED, Talking to NK mamu/chachu and his family on Skype.

"What's going on Guys?" The trio exclaimed in unison

"We're on a call with NK bhai, Come join us!" Anjali said cheerily without looking back.

"No di, We're already running late. We need to pack. It's an early morning flight, We'll talk to the kids upon reaching." Lavanya said softly

"Okay Lavanya, Carry on with the packing. We'll be waiting for you people eagerly." Anjali said joyously

"Oh, Trust me Bua no one is as eager as us to be there at the earliest." Jane exclaimed.

Anjali smiled, "We'll see you soon."

"We'll see you Di!!" Nk replied.

The screen went blank, Anjali turned to look at the children who were now visibly pouting.

"What happened to the three of you?"

"We're hungry!!" They replied in unison

"Oh, Then what are you waiting for? Come, The evening snacks are ready. I'll get your beverages!!" Anjali ushred them to the couches and herself went to make their coffee.
