Chaeyoung's Pov
-

"Miss Park, please have a seat," I place myself in the black leather chair, adjacent to his desk. I eye him as he casually leaned back into his chair, and he smirks still analysing me. A surge of confidence goes through my body as I straighten my back and I muster a gracious smile.

"Your CV was most impressive Miss Park, it stood out amognst the candidates." With his grin still plastered on his face, he leans forward raising his eyebrow slightly.

"Thank you Mr. Park I-"

"Look, I'm quite a busy man, so we can skip the initial thank you's and so forth, you have the job, congratulations, it's started so let's get going," he said coldly, while he looked at his watch, his earlier smirk had now faded and was replaced by a focused expression, "your office is attached to mine, behind this wall here." There was a gap by the side of the wall and I could just about see a desk placed in the centre.

"You are to answer calls directed to me, organise my schedule, maintain files, deal with potential client meeting requests, attend those meetings and so on. I can tell you're a smart girl so I don't need to explain much."

He stood up, and walked over to me, I rose from my chair instinctively as he approached me. "Any confusion, any queries, ask someone that works around here, and try to bother me as little as possible."

Wow. Jerk. I would've rolled my eyes if he didn't control whether my ass remained at this job.

He edged nearer to me but I stood my ground, I wasn't going to let him know he was affecting me, as his perfectly carved face gained closer in proximity.

"Of course sir, I'll do my best." I flashed my fakest, brightest smile, his face only inches from mine. I wished away all the thoughts of attacking his round lips, as his eyes wandered from my eyes to my lips, and unintentionally bit my own. He chuckled and walked away.

"I have a meeting now, make sure my coffee is here when I get back, I like it black." He said just before he vanished from my sight.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding as I moved towards my desk. I seriously cannot be this affected by my boss already. Maybe it's the mix of nerves, excitement, and horniness? It's not like I've been getting an abundance of action lately, I'm quite ashamed to admit.

Wandering over to my desk, I start to orgnaise my new working area to my liking. My stomach grumbles and I curse as I remember through the nervous haze that I forgot to eat breakfast. Maybe I can eat my new boss- for fuck sake.

-

Figuring out my way back to the office, clutching the files per Jimin's request, I rush back as to not piss off my already temperamental boss. By seeing him work for the past couple hours, I've deduced that he's not a very patient man.

Amongst my hurry, I bump into someone, and I stumbled as I tried to regain my balance. The other person in the equation remains unfazed and stands firmly. His arm snakes around my waist, supporting my weight, helping me to not fall flat onto the ground.

Honestly, is this straight out of a damn k-drama?

"Shit, are you okay?" A boxy smile appears on his face as his glimmering eyes study mine. A literal angel, no, a fucking god, stares into me as I try to search my brain for a suitable response.

"Uh-I umm- yes, yes I'm okay. Thank you, you know for not letting me fall straight onto my arse." He laughed as he pulled me to stand properly. I really said arse didn't I?

"Kim Taehyung, I'm a section head here." he held out his hand, and I shook it in return.

"Park Chaeyoung or Rosé, I'm not too fussed, it's nice to meet you, I'm new here. I hope I didn't hurt you when we collided there." I nervously chime.

"No, no, not at all, seeing as you're new, when's your lunch break? I'd be happy for you to have lunch with me. I usually eat with some friends here, but I'm sure they won't mind you joining." I smiled at his generous offer.

"Ah, thank you but I'm having lunch with my friend Lisa, she works in reception."

"No worries, she can come too, it'll give you a chance to get to know some people." he made a fair point, I only know Lisa and Jimin but I don't think he counts. I stare at Taehyung, ugh his smile, well how can I say no.

I give him my number so he could contact me at lunch and return to the office to a slightly angry looking Jimin.

"What took you so long?" He snapped as I entered.

"Sorry I bumped into someone, here are the files." He glared at me with narrowed eyes, then shook his head.

Taking the files I had placed on his desk, he gestured for me to go, looking back at his computer without saying anything more.

"You're welcome." I hiss under my breath, slightly irritated at the lack of some appreciation

"I didn't say thank you."

"What was that I didn't quite catch that, all I heard was thank you. And you are more than welcome." I smile bitterly before heading to my desk, just missing the small curve of a smile on my boss's lips.
