"Kai," Maxwell's voice reigned out from the gap of the elevators doors opening upon the Fifth Floor.

Kai was in front of them with Soul casually standing to his right, Laura hiding behind him with her eyes on the floor, but her head picked up immediately at Maxwell's voice.

Kai stared at Maxwell and Luther, and thus the two bodies on their individual shoulders. Kai crossed his arms and gestured with his right thumb down the hallway to his left.

"Noah has a room prepared, go meet him."

Maxwell gave off a polite nod while then grinning towards the staring Laura and Soul, then turning back he noticed Luther already a fair distance ahead of him.

"Oh" Maxwell said and quickly made a jog down the hallway.

Laura left Souls side immediately, running past him but Kai caught her by the arm before she could dash past him.

"Why in a rush? They won't awake anytime soon, little girl."

Laura didn't make eye contact, she kept staring off towards Luther in particular who was turning the corner, "They're my friends, come on, let me just stay with them."

Kai made a little grunt as he let his hand go, not making a word.

"Thank you," Laura said as she looked towards Kai for a second, then turning back she made a run after the two other Lexus members.

Once she was a fair distance away and silence had filled the room, Kai spoke up.

"Are you going to ask or not?"

Soul let out a tiny smile as his arms fell to his sides, "I'm simply curious what you were doing with a Void Encaser."

Kai turned on his feet as to look into Souls eyes, "Is there anything important that you're getting out of my answer?"

"You know very well why I'm asking, you shouldn't have it. Just like you shouldn't have some of the books in the library I saw."

"You act like it's impossible for humans like ourselves to obtain things made by people like you, we simply discovered or bought them off others. Is that too hard to believe?"

Soul let out a slight sigh as his hands disappeared into the pockets of his robe, "It kinda is, because while it's possible you just happened to find books written by other people about events that are almost completely secret, you couldn't have found as much of the knowledge that appears to fill your library."

Kai's eyes stared into Souls, Soul simply keeping his cool and staring back, "I recommend keeping your old self to yourself, we have the knowledge and that's the facts, how we got it shouldn't matter."

"I agree, getting knowledge is completely fine, my main concern is this."

Soul then took a few steps towards Kai, the space between them lowering from metres to inches, then Soul spoke.

"What do you plan to do with that knowledge?"

Kai didn't react, either due to so much control over his body or because he wasn't afraid, but he did hesitate before speaking.

"Just keep to yourself, do I need to remind you your powers are subdued here?"

"I pack a harder punch than you realize" Soul said without hesitation.

Kai decided to stay quiet, his eyes averted followed by him taking a step backwards and turning to face his left.

"I have business to do, I would like you to leave please."
