The trees' branches flew down towards the wall surrounding Terazone, hitting the wall directly but they bounced off. They definitely hit, but the wall was thick enough to endure it for now. The pack, watching from the far off hill, breathed a sigh of relief at these events and turned to Escar who just smiled lightly.

"Will they be safe long?" Mark said.

Escar hesitates, "Hard to say. That wall is a whole ten meters thick with no hallow insides, it'd take a lot to get through. But with time it will come down."

"Then how can we stop them?"

"You'll see, do be quick" Escar said and he turned his back to the city, walking over the opposite end of the hill.

As everyone soon followed one by one, Spike turned to face the trees. That wall could sustain their hits but if they resorted to throwing their bodies directly at it then they might break it easily. Perhaps there was a way to delay them.

Spikes hands opened up, stretched fingers straightening out, and laid his open palms directly on the ground. Shadows zipped across the ground, one strand of darkness for each finger, and they moved wicked fast down the hill and across the ground towards the trees. The next second there was the sound of an explosion and a huge amount of smoke erupted from below the trees which clouded their bodies.

Everyone moving after Escar stopped and looked back, seeing Spike and then seeing the puff of smoke in front of Terazone.

"What are you doing?" Escar said.

The smoke soon disappeared and behold before them was a huge crater in the ground where the trees had once been positioned. Their branches were raised up, sticking out of the huge hole, and only the head of the elder tree was sticking out along with his echoing voice which everyone could hear from the hill.

"Curses, your destruction will be simply postponed, nothing more!"

Spike stood from his knelt position and gave off a slight cough as he turned and walked towards everyone else, "I simply dug out some of the ground below them. The ground itself has already been killed by the corruption so all that is holding it together is the fact that it's piled on top of each other. Remove enough of it and it falls down, breaking apart. Perfect as a temporary prison."

The pack showed obvious signs of relief, their future home now safe from the threats for a short while, but Escar coughed for their attention.

"Um, pay attention" he said, pointing to the crater.

Everyone turned again, the trees' branches were extending and growing up out of the crater. They had no finite length for they kept growing across the ground and up the walls side.

"Now they are pushing their attack, you might have just raised the danger level! Just hurry up!"

With his voice full of anger, Escar began a run for his destination and so while Spike cleared his throat and stared guilt-driven at the city of Terazone, everyone chased after Escar.

At the foot of the hill was a five foot high archway. The archway was apart of short tunnel that stuck out of the hills foot, a walkway inside. The door was iron-like, sturdy and made of a type of metal but it was colored bright green. Escar positioned his broken, twisted fingers, specifically his left hand, in front of a black, circular device sticking out of the center of the top portion of the door. Once his fingers were detected there was a blue light emitted from the device. It shined over Escar's fingers, up and then down, then a sound of confirmation rang out followed by the light disappearing and the door itself opening silently.

Laura met with Escar's side and looked at his fingers hesitantly, "What happened to them?"

Escar stepped aside and gestured everyone to move in as he replied, "A curse, not of the corruption but magic. I stole an artifact I wasn't meant to and it got me in the back, or the hands actually."
