NOTICE (don't panic)

Firstly, thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to read DYER - I am absolutely blown away by the amount of support it has received, and I am thankful to every one of you for that.

As you are all aware, it has been a REALLY long time since I last updated this story, and I know it is frustrating because it was just getting to the 'finally starting to work against the antagonist' sort of part of the plot. I will be honest, I have had a LOT of writer's block with this, and I am fairly certain that most of it can be attributed to 'irrelevant character syndrome'. The fact of the matter is that, plot wise, I have absolutely no use for most of the Smit family from this point forward, and finishing the first draft with them is proving more than a little difficult.

I'm slowly trying to get my act together to the point that I have enough information to get help from some writerly folk I trust.

That being said, I've been doing a lot more drawing than writing lately.
For those of you who are unaware, I am converting the shiny, edited version of INDIGO by Skyhuntress into a webcomic, which you can find on Line Webtoon - search for 'The Colourverse: Indigo' on the Discover page!

Over on instagram, I am also writing a Voltron fancomic (NOT a romance fic!) about sailing, a touch of magic and a fair amount of angst. It's mostly to remind me about all the things I've forgotten about sailing since I got my day skipper's license, as well as a way to figure out a plot hole in one of my world builds. I've archived most of my works on Wattpad except for this, and my Miraculous fic which I am still also working on, but have hit a similar level of writer's block for. Mostly because the stories have changed DRAMATICALLY since they were last updated, and I kinda want to get to the point where when I start something, I can actually finish it.

So far that seems a little bit of a long way off, but a girl's gotta prioritize. Especially since I will be tabling at my first ever Artists Alley this year at Comic Con Africa! Most of the table will be Indigo related artwork, but there will also be some other fandom and original stuff there as well. For my South African readers - and those who happen to travel abroad for holiday and will be planning a trip to SA and will be in Johannesburg in late September this year - I hope to see you there!
