E L I Z A

Saturday night and the lights are low, looking out for a place to go... yeah, yeah wrong day get over it. Athena had very easily convinced me to go to a club with her, I don't think she had finished saying the word before I said yes.

So here we are listening to ABBA and dancing around while doing our make up and hair, Karim popped in a few times due to Athena's god awful singing as a twirled around a hummed.

I don't think it's said enough that often getting ready is the best part of the night out. I remember Paddy used to huff in frustration as I took what must have felt like an eternity to get ready but with Athena I was realising it was more of a boy girl thing than a Paddy Eliza thing.

We were finally finished and ready to hit London, after forcing Karim to take a few photos to his apparent dismay.

I was wearing a skin tight snake print dress that flared out around the bottom with my sandy blonde hair curled. While Athena looked more regal in a crushed velvet red bell sleeved dress, and a gold head band.

Soon we were in the back of a one of Athena's dads limos and on the way to Athena's favourite club, she seemed way to happy just to go clubbing or maybe I'm just immune to that feeling now.

"Ah!" She squealed, "it's like the Constance days."

Ouch. I didn't want to feel like this girls replacement to everyone, but maybe that's what they were missing in the group dynamic.

It's hard not knowing her and people talking about her to me like we were friends. If I am her replacement it would explain why Vin avoids me like the plague, but I don't want to be Constance I want to be me.

We arrive at this flashy club, with neon lights and a long line. Athena just grabs my hand and walks to the front of the line, whispered something in the bouncers ears before letting us through.

"What did you tell them."

"The truth, my dad owns this place."

She lead me straight to the bar aka my favourite place, and ordered something very quickly. Before even asking what it was it was down my throat, the now almost comforting burn sizzled as I signaled for another gaining a laugh from Athena.

After knocking back a view mysterious drinks that Athena liked, the buzz was high and the slur hadn't kicked in yet. This was optimum time for dancing, we danced and twirled on the dance floor, a massive squash of sweaty bodies but no one cared.

I noticed Vin and his auburn tresses standing shadly in the corner of the room, I guess that's what drug lords do, act shady.

I walked over to him, and his eyes weren't as cold as they normal were with me, maybe because I was clearly intoxicated.

"What you got for me, Vin?"

"Nothing for you, elskede."

"Come on, why not?"

"You're drunk as fùck, and Tommen would literally kill me."

"Buzz kill," I turned around and turned my face as serious as I could as I did my best, "I'll be back."

Soon you'll see I will fight the fight and win the war for your... drugs? Okay stop making song references that don't work Eliza!

A slight smile came to his face as he watched me walk and order 2 shots of vodka. This burn was addicting, I let my self melt into the sea of bodies once again before almost forgetting everything.

Soon this random dude and I are dancing, he's spinning me around and trying to get as close as possible. My brain turns to mush as I think about Tommen, would I flip if he was doing this? I pushed him off before walking a very jagged line to the bathroom and throwing up the contents of my stomach.

A large shadow loomed over me as I threw up in the toilet.

"I'm fine Athena, go- go- go and dance." I slurred, the worst part of this is when my brain feels disconnected to my body. I'm saying one thing internally and doing another.

"It's Vin." His deep, foreign voice says.

"Just go Vin," I wretch, "I'm fine."

I stand up with a sway and walk out like nothing happened, Vin's cautious eyes on me as he was having an angry phone call.

I couldn't stand anything more than a dealer on the phone at a club, couldn't hear a word they said.

Wait am I on the floor?

I stood up and tried to shake it off as I stumbled to the bar, hand on it as I bent over heaving heavily. I felt a large hand on my back, and a faint "Come on," before I assume falling asleep or blacking out. I'll find out in the morning.
