E L I Z A
"Don't go Eliza," Athena whined, as she watched me violently stuff half of my wardrobe into my bag. I moved past her, in an attempt to grab some makeup.
All Tom ever wanted the whole time I've know him is her, she won and she can keep him. All I've ever wanted the whole time I've know him is home, so I'm going and he isn't here to hold me back.
She grabbed my arm so I could look at her in the eyes.
"Don't go," she said, her voice leaking with guilt, "don't go because of him or her."
I sighed as I looked Athena in the eyes, she would be alone with Karim if I left. But no; I'm making me decisions today and not looking out for anyone.
I'm the only person I need in London, so they can let me go home and finally be happy.
Karim watched the scene with his calculating eyes, the fact he isn't stopping me pushes me to make the decision.
"I have to," I tried to shrug it off like it wasn't a big deal but it was, "I'll text you all the time, and I'll come back for all the holidays."
She pulled me into a tight hug and let me move around the room grabbing random things I thought I might need.
With quick hugs and a text to Josh saying I've fücked off I got on the train, the whole 2 hour journey going over what went wrong.
As I arrived at Lime Street Station and smiled at the fact that I was actually home.
I tapped my foot as I rang Paddy waiting for him to answer.
"What's up, E?"
"Can you pick me up from the station?"
"When?"
"Now?"
I heard the shock in his voice, I never told him I was coming and just banked on him being a bit of a loner like he always is.
"I'll finish work early, wait outside for me."
I sat on the steps as I watched people come and go, some walking to the museum others going down into the city.
A large black Jeep came up, and started beeping. I looked around for who was clearly missing the memo about someone picking them up, until the blacked out window rolled down and shouted, "E!"
It was a shock seeing Pad in such a nice car, it suited him but still was strange.
"Dude!" I placed my arms on the rolled down window while on my tip toes to talk to him, "nice car!"
"Thanks," He signalled for me to walk around the other side and get in so he could take me back to his.
As soon as I got in the car, watching the city disappear into suburbia, I noticed the look in Paddy's eyes.
"Why'd you come back," he knew it wasn't out of my heart just wanting to come home.
"He messed up... if you'd call it that I guess?"
He just nodded but I noticed as we pulled up to the tower blocks that he's always lived in there was less night life than normal, people seemed to be avoiding it like the plague.
On our way up, Paddy was nervously moving his feet and hands. Unable to keep still.
I collapsed onto his couch like many times before, instead of a crappy box telly, that had one to many lines of lemo snorted of it, was a thin brand new flat screen.
"Pad, new car and new TV?"
"Yeah about that..."
"What?"
