Author's note : Gaahhhh sure fam let's make a part two because I don't like sad endings, they fucking hurt- so I hope you guys enjoy this one! It's angst in the beginning and fluff for the second part..??◢

"Are you sure you're okay?" Ashley asks as she drops you off at your house. You turn to her, raising your eyebrows in question.

It has been three months since you last talked to Sal. You didn't mind, you tried to forget.

"Ash, I'm fine." You scoff, rolling your eyes. You laugh, brushing her off. "You best be going now, my house is far from yours."

"Yeah, you right." She smiles, laughing as well. "See ya, Y/N!"

"Yeah, see ya!" You wave as she jogs off. You enter your house, which is empty. Your mom is working overnight at the hospital, to which you do not mind. You walk up to your room, not wanting to eat dinner at the moment.

You're so confused with yourself.

Opening your bedroom door, all you see is the colour blue.

Oh, right, you painted your bedroom blue upon coming to Nockfell. It was by chance that your boyfriend had the same hair colour.

Wait.

Ex-boyfriend.

The thought eats you up again as tears line up your eyes, choked sobs caught up in your throat as the memories resurface.

You can't stay in this room, it's too full of memories.

You end up sleeping in your mom's room again, not handling the pain of trying to forget him.

You just couldn't.

"Dude, you've been hanging 'round here a lot." Larry frowns, watching as Sal plays his gearboy on the beanbag. Sal looks up at him.

"I can't?" He asks, sounding a bit dejected.

"No- dude, I mean, you've been here a lot. Sleeping here a lot. You're riding an elevator to your apartment, man, not climbing up stairs." Larry pauses his painting, turning to his best friend. Sal's too focused on the game, which makes Larry sigh, "Sal, what's wrong."

"Nothing's wrong, Larry face, let me finish my game." Sal mumbles, only to lose at the game he's playing. "Damn it, you made me lose."

"Nope, I'm dragging you to your apartment, Sally Face." Larry stands up, easily picking up Sal over his shoulder and heading out of his room, out of his apartment, and up the elevator. Only then did he realise that Sal wants to get down is when he had arrived at apartment thrashing around wildly.

"Woah, dude, sorry!" Larry puts Sal down, opening his bedroom door.

"Larry, please don't!"

Larry opens the door.

It's.. his bedroom, what's wrong with it?

"Dude, what's wrong?" Larry asks, turning to Sal who has his mask off and is furiously trying to wipe the tears forming in his eyes. He grows concerned, "Dude, what happened? Did someone try to steal from you?"

"I-It's all her!" Sal exclaims, voice cracking in the middle. Larry stares at him, confused, but goes ahead to hug the guy for comfort.

"What do you mean it's all her?"

"It's all her. Everything reminds me of her."

And it strikes Larry, Sal's not over you.

"Dude, how the fuck will we get them back together?" Larry grumbles, throwing a rock into Lake Wendigo.

"I don't know, Y/N is good at avoiding the topic." Ash sighs, shaking her head. "She avoids it like the plague."

"Sal cried to me last night, he couldn't stay in this room because apparently it reminds him of Y/N." Larry tells her. "This is so confusing, if they still love each other, why are they avoiding each other?"

"Did they even tell us that they broke up?" Ash asks, sitting straight up after a realisation.

".. Shit, you right." Larry groans, lying back on the grass. "So they're just on a big ol' break?"

"They've been prancing around like pricks." Ash grumbles. She stands up, pulling him up as well, "We gotta force them together."

"Meet here tomorrow at noon." Larry points at her.

"With the couple?"

"With the couple."

|| Wendigo Lake

It's awkward.

It's silent.

It's still.

"Should we do something?" Larry asks as he and Ash watch them from afar.

"Nope. If they try to escape, we got Neil, Todd, Chug, and Maple on our side." Ash huffs. "If they find a way out of this, I'm going to knock their heads together."

They turn back to the couple, who are out of view.

"Where the fuck are they- oh, oh."

"What?"

"They're sitting down."

They were right. Both of you were sitting on the grass, deciding to sit after an hour of awkwardness and silence.

"So.."

"So..?"

It's still silent.

Though maybe not everything can be solved through verbal confrontation.

You had scooted towards him, leaning your head on his shoulder. He doesn't tense, he doesn't do anything else than lean his head on yours.

Soon you find your hand interlocked with his, as if you don't want him to walk away.

"I missed you." You mumble, nuzzling into him.

".. We never broke up, did we?" He asks you in a soft voice, as if he's trying not to cry right now.

You don't answer, you merely tighten your grip on his arm.

"You know I love you right?" He asks once more, now breaking down. You quickly rise to your knees, holding him close as you can feel the waterworks start.

"I love you too, Sal." You whisper, breaking into breathy sobs. "I'm sorry I-I didn't why-"

"It's not your fault." He replies. "And it wasn't mine. We just.."

".. just needed a break." You continues, wiping the tears from your eyes.

Larry leans forwards, "What are they doing right now?"

"Hugging it out, the ship is back." Ash cheers for herself, but ended up tripping and rolling straight into the lake.

"ASH?!"

"FUCK, REMIND ME NOT TO DANCE IN THE FOREST AGAIN!"

Author's note : Maybe I lied about the fluff. I'll make it back to you guys with better fluff next chapter, urgh.◢
